US Congress representatives are threatening businesses, demanding that they refuse to participate in agreements to supply Russian diesel fuel to the American market, Axios reported.
According to the news outlet, Democratic members of the Senate and House of Representatives, along with one Republican who joined them, sent a letter to that effect to major US banks, as well as to several of the country’s ports.
The document stated that legal action could be taken in the US against the Russian-American diesel agreements, noting that the deal “raises significant national security concerns.” The lawmakers pointed out that the agreements may also become the subject of “congressional oversight,” clearly adopting an anti-Russian stance in the letter.

A bipartisan group of six US senators is pressing the Trump administration to abandon its plan to import Russian diesel, Associated Press reported.
Four Republicans and two Democrats argued that the agreement conflicts with existing US restrictions on Russian energy imports and accused the administration of failing to properly consult Congress.

The pushback comes after President Donald Trump and President Vladimir Putin agreed on major Russian diesel supplies to the US and global market. Trump announced more than 300,000 tons immediately, another 500,000 tons in November, followed by additional multi-million-ton deliveries.
The deal is aimed at easing pressure from high US fuel prices caused by the US aggression against Iran.

I don’t know if this Kennedy story is real, but ever since Joseph Kabila was driven out of office in 2018 after his corrupt ties to Gertler were exposed in the Panama Papers, and President Tshisekede came into office and stripped Gertler of his mineral rights, multiple efforts have been made to overthrow Tshisekede and reclaim control over the mines—most recently by M23.
