The provided maps illustrate the significant urban development of a coastal area between 2010 and the present day.
Overall, the area has undergone a massive transformation from a partially wooded, low-density region into a modern, high-density urban hub. The most notable changes include the expansion of the city centre, the introduction of educational facilities, and the replacement of natural areas with residential and leisure amenities.
In 2010, the northern section featured an old bus station and a large forest. Today, the bus station has been modernized, and the forest has been completely cleared to make way for a university and dedicated student accommodation. To the east, a new cinema and a complex of new flats have been constructed. Meanwhile, the original library in the southwest has been demolished and replaced by new houses.
The city centre has expanded significantly; it now includes an e-scooter rental scheme reflecting (why) a shift toward modern transport. Furthermore, the southern region near the sea, which was previously occupied only by a main road, has been redeveloped into a vibrant pedestrian zone featuring various bars and restaurants. Despite these extensive changes, the area's proximity to the sea remains the only constant geographical feature.

How do animals experience pain?🐁
People are familiar with the sensation of a sudden needle prick, the sharp pain of a stab in the finger, and the throbbing pain of a toothache. We can recognize many types of pain, and we have many ways to relieve it. But how do animals behave? How do the animals around us experience pain? Robin Crook studied pain in vertebrates and invertebrates.
