DevSpace Bot is now ThreadBot ā and itās openāsource!
Iāve just pushed the final commit for ThreadBot, a modular Telegram bot for managing supergroups and topics. I believe this new name fits the project perfectly!
ThreadBot is designed to manage Telegram supergroups with multiple admins, allowing structured topic management, automated posting, and flexible moderation workflows.
The project is ready to use and easy to modify just provide the correct values in the environment variables and deploy. Itās supergroupāagnostic, meaning it can be used for any type of Telegram supergroup: communities, developer groups, learning hubs, DAO groups, and more.
Check it out and contribute here: https://github.com/atocodes/threadbot-telegram.git
Iām done actively maintaining this project, so I wonāt be adding new features regularly. Now itās over to you, the community! Open an issue, send a PR, or improve the bot however you like.

I was thinking about water bottle companies here in Ethiopia. Most of them just copy each other, same shape, same look, all same shit. Itās wild that this hasnāt really changed for almost 30 yearsš.
I honestly feel like if even one company changed the shape of their bottle, theyād instantly stand out and probably sell more. Funny how something so simple never gets touchedš.

We are excited to announce the 1st Workshop on Minimalstic Path to Intelligence: https://mpti-workshop.com/. May 30, 2026, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (venue TBA).
MPtI has two core objectives: (1) advance foundational AI toward natural intelligence, improving understanding, robustness, and efficiency beyond brute-force scale; and (2) restore research reachability by creating a credible venue where African students and practitioners can contribute using āwhat we haveā (laptop-feasible, reproducible research).
We hope the intersection of these two objectives will lead to capable AI systems that benefit developing worlds while contributing to the global effort.
If youāre working on theory, algorithms, evaluation, interpretability, or compute/data-light methods with scale-relevant insights, weād love to hear from you.
More information soon!

If everything in your life changed and you had to live a completely different version of it, what is the one thing about yourself youād want to carry with you no matter what?

By the way, one thing Iām really excited about is running my own tech on my own hardware, like hosting AI models or similar systems. I know itās not very convenient in terms of cost, but I kind like the full control.

I hear this quote twice a day from different people
"If I had $100, I would spend $90 on marketing and $10 on the business."

One hard truth I realized this week is that coding with AI is nothing like what people make it out to be. Itās funny how people compare it to when calculators first came out and how mathematicians were afraid of them and use that same analogy for AI, but honestly, AI is a whole different game. Weāre kind of losing the AI game, and the best thing we can do is use AI to help people who still donāt know how to do things themselves. It seems like weāll need to shift more towards business and management roles.
