I was learning about how authenticator apps like google authenticator works, and it is really interesting and simple cryptography. Mainly, what they do is on the first handshake, the website(the main app) shares a randomly generated secret key in qr code or smt. The authenticator app then stores that key in local storage. That is the only time the server and the authenticator interact. After that, the app generates different codes every 30 secs on its own. It takes the secret key and the timestamp, combines them, and hashes them into a specific format to create the codes. The server does the same thing on its end. If the codes match, authentication passes. the main thing that differs this kind of 2FA is it works completely offline since it has everything it needs before hand @devwitheyob #2FA

Out of nowhere, Antigravity just turned into this with their new update. It looks more like a terminal or a chat app now than a normal IDE like VS Code used to.
