Taking ʿAqīdah From Shaykh Albānī but Fiqh Al-Wāqiʿ From Others: A Foul and Misguided Statement Shaykh Muqbil Ibn Hādee Al-Wāde'ee ((رحمه الله)) https://t.me/Alwadei1/1644 https://t.me/DawahFromYemenEng1/355

Taking ʿAqīdah from Shaykh al-Albānī but Fiqh al-Wāqiʿ (Understanding Contemporary Affairs) from Others: A Foul and Misguided Statement Imām Muqbil—may Allāh have mercy on him—was asked: Question: What do you say regarding those who say: “We take ʿaqīdah (creed) from Shaykh al-Albānī and other scholars, while we take fiqh al-wāqiʿ (understanding contemporary affairs) from others?” Answer: I say: This is a foul statement! You have misled the people, caused confusion among the people, and kept the people ignorant. Where is your success in understanding current affairs? The reality is that the Gulf crisis exposed them when they launched an attack against those who issued the ruling permitting seeking assistance from a disbeliever. We have mentioned the evidence elsewhere, such as the statement of the Prophet ﷺ: “Indeed, Allāh supports this religion even through a wicked man.” And the statement of the Prophet ﷺ in the ḥadīth of Dhū Mikhbar, as recorded in Sunan Abī Dāwūd: “You will make a peace treaty with the Romans, and you and they will fight an enemy behind you; then they will betray you.” The point is: You have neither understood contemporary affairs nor acquired knowledge! But Allāh is the One to whom we complain. You have remained like this, bewildered, and changed your positions every day, presenting the people with a different position each time. Then, whenever you are defeated and it becomes clear that you have failed and were ignorant of the reality, you come with excuses. And Allāh’s aid is sought. A Single Book Is Equivalent To This World! Imām Muqbil—may Allāh have mercy upon him—said: "And we advise the students of knowledge to be devoted to the acquisition of books, even if one of them must sell his car, and even if one of them must sell his ʿamāmah (turban) for the purpose of buying a book. A single book is equivalent to this world and whatever good it contains." Attending Funerals Involving Innovations Al-Imām Muqbil—may Allāh have mercy upon him—said: "As for the funeral that contains acts of innovations, if the deceased himself is an innovator, then I advise not to attend [his funeral], and if he is not an innovator while his family and relatives or one of the innovators just took control of his funeral, then there is no harm in attending..." He—may Allāh have mercy upon him—also said: "... If the janāzah is for a sunnī while his family is from the people of innovations, we advise that the person follows the janāzah of the sunnī and he should not participate with them in anything from their innovations..." [Min Fiqh al-Imām al-Wādiʿī (1/493)] Al-Imām Muqbil—raḥimahullāh—said: "... If a chaplain [i.e., a pastor] were to come [to the funeral] and utter words similar to the talqīn of the innovators (i.e., of them addressing the dead with certain words), if the person remains, then in shāʾ Allāh lā baʾs (i.e., it is okay) while disliking it with his heart. The proof is the ḥadīth of Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī—may Allāh be pleased with him—who said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ say: "Whoever of you sees an evil, then let him change it with his hand. If he is not able to do so, then with his tongue. And if he is not able to do so, then with his heart—and that is the weakest of faith."' And if he were to walk away, then it is better, in shāʾ Allāh." [Min Fiqh al-Imām al-Wādiʿī (1/498)] Translators' Note: Likewise, if a person were to attend a janāzah and an innovator there begins to speak or perform certain innovations, then the person can either remain and dislike it with his heart, and if he were to walk away, then that is better for him, in shāʾ Allāh. And Allāh knows best. Al-Imām Muqbil—raḥimahullāh—also said: "As for following a janāzah that is accompanied with innovations, then as long as the deceased is a Muslim, it is appropriate to follow his janāzah. However, if you are able to criticize, then criticize; and if you aren't capable to criticize, then dislike it with your heart and do not participate with them in their innovations." It Is Obligatory Upon Her Imām Muqbil—may Allāh have mercy on him—said: فَعَلَى المَرْأَةِ أَنْ تَقُوْمَ بِتَرْبِيَةِ أَبْنَائِهَا تَرْبِيَةً إِسْلَامِيَّةً “It is obligatory for a woman to educate her children with Islamic teachings.” [Tuḥfah al-Mujīb, 1/339] ——— Translated by: Abū Isḥāq Muḥammad https://t.me/Muqbil_Eng https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaHVDfO2kNFjO6CnyX3r

The Ruling on Asking Allāh for His Bounty Upon Hearing a Rooster and Seeking Refuge Upon Hearing a Dog Bark Imām Muqbil—may Allāh have mercy on him—was asked: Question: "What is the ruling on asking Allāh for Paradise upon hearing the rooster, and is it an obligation or a recommendation? Likewise, when seeking refuge upon hearing the barking of dogs, is that repeated every time we hear it, even if that is more than once at one time?" Answer: "As for when hearing the rooster or the crowing of the rooster, then the Prophet (ﷺ) said: فما سمعنا الصارخ “So when we hear the crowing” The intent by that is the rooster. So if one hears it, then it is necessary to ask Allāh for His bounty. [1] This is considered recommended and not in the form of an obligation. Likewise is seeking refuge from Shayṭān when hearing the barking of a dog. If the barking repeats continuously in one sitting, it is not necessary for him to say every time he hears the dog: أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم 'I seek refuge with Allāh from the accursed Shayṭān' After some time, if another dog barks or that same dog barks again, then he seeks refuge with Allāh from the accursed Shayṭān. As for if it is continuous, then it is sufficient to seek refuge once. And in Allāh is aid sought." Source ——— Editors’ Footnote: [1] I was unable to find the specific wording, “فما سمعنا الصارخ,” in a ḥadīth. However, the ḥadīth itself is muttafaqun ʿalayh (agreed upon), meaning that it is narrated in both Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī and Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, with the wording: “إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ صِيَاحَ الدِّيَكَةِ”. The Ruling on Wealth Derived From Both Ḥalāl and Ḥarām Sales Imām Muqbil—may Allah have mercy on him—was asked: Question: "If a Muslim sells in his store some ḥarām things, is all of his money ḥarām?" Answer: "No, in accordance to what he sells. The wealth remains with suspicion and ambiguity. Piety/cautiousness (al-waraʿ — الورع) is to leave it off. As for him, then the sin [on him] is to the extent of what he sells of ḥarām. The Messenger (ﷺ) said, as in the Musnad of Imām Aḥmad from the ḥadīth of Jābir and Kaʿb ibn ʿUjrah, and the meaning is similar: إيما جسد نبت من حرام فالنار أولى به "Any body that is nourished from ḥarām, then the Fire is more deserving of it." [Al-Ṣaḥīḥ al-Musnad, no. 260] However, for other than him, piety/cautiousness is to leave it off. Otherwise, the Prophet (ﷺ) used to deal with the Jews, and the Jews used to call him to food, and he knew that they used to deal with usury."
