For the Wudufugol I feel confident that my good friends Eccebam and Thorsidr will be amazing leaders and will bring the community to a great golden age. They have been amazing friends and I can say will full confidence that they are the most qualified for being leaders in this new movement. I wish the best for the Wudufugol and those who would like to join. It has been an honor to be among such great people.

I have decided to announce that I will no longer be active in the Wudufogul and I will be retiring as Pretani Chieftain for an extremely long time. In recent weeks I have grown extremely busy with family, friends and work, and I have now realized that I need to readjust my priorities to stabilize my life. Lately I have grown to become unbalanced with my internet usage and I feel like I have become “chronically online” for many months. Just recently I have re-evaluated my life and I plan on focusing purely on my career and my amazing wife.
This does not mean I will be gone forever. However I will be retiring from Pretani Chieftain for an extremely long unknown period of time and I do not know when I will even think about picking up the mantel of Pretani Chieftain once more. Recently I had retired from X and Instagram, but now I feel like that I must abandon those apps for good. With that I will archive everything for everyone to look at and hopefully my old work will inspire newcomers. | 140 |

| 7 |  +4Germany's most famous cist grave is at Anderlingen. A Bronze age cairn barrow built 1400 BC contemporary with Sweden's Nordic Bronze Age Kivik grave. One of the slabs has similar petroglyphs on it like at Kivik.
The site was reused by pagan Saxons in the late 400's AD at a time contemporary with the migrations to England. The burial deposits here are similar to those from pagan England. Saxon finds include two vessels, likely urns, and a pair of raven brooches (see pic) | 129 |
| 8 |  Preparing blótmeat from one of our bucks for this evenings meal for vetrarnótt.
During this process, I take care to not damage any of the bones, particularly the femur or the lærlegg. This bone is of particular focus in the beginning of the saga of Þórr and Útgarða-Loki.
In this short episode, we see that there is certain language surrounding the slaughter of the goats and the treatment of the bones. Þórr gives a stipulation (mælti) to the children of what they should do (skyldu). Þjálfi is then said to have loosened (laust) the hind leg (lærlegg) of the buck with his knife and split (spretti) the bone for the marrow. Þórr sees this the next morning when he hallows (vígði) the buck skins to revive them, when one of them has a halter in its step. He says to the farmer that he or someone in his household did not handle the bones wisely (skynsamliga) and became angry. The farmer offered him a settlement/atonement (bótr) of whatever he wanted in exchange for peace (friðr), and Þórr chose his children Þjálfi and Röskva to be his servants.
From this we can glean a ritual logic: the deity gives ritual instructions to the people on proper handling of the bones of his chosen animal. The violation of this instruction leads to the wrath of the deity, which results in an atonement offering from the people to maintain the peace between the household and the deity.
As with the archaeological evidence, we see a careful handling and preparation of the bones before offering them, and this echoes what we see in the literature. In late literature we see similarities of this episode within the Sámi cult of Horagalles, as they also treat the bones of sacrificed reindeer with extreme care, collecting them together in their skins once meat is harvested, and offering it to the deity to renew their herd. | 102 |

I do not plan on deleting my channels and hopefully I can keep them archived. Until then I, Pretani Chieftain will only be on Telegram.
Social media, including Facebook, X and Instagram are terrible for our psyche. As long as we are trapped in these screen jailhouses, we will forever be enslaved to the masses. I find that the longer I am off of mainstream social media, I am much more happier in the long run. I plan on using the time I have focused on the Wudufugol, my family and my career. Until then I will still continue to post on Telegram, although much more rarely.

| 13 |  The Gotlandic picture stone S181 is believed to depict Óðinn, Þórr and Freyr.
Note the more mallet or club shape of Þórr’s weapon, which is reminiscent of him having a club in Gesta Danorum. His central position between the other two gods (or generally between two other gods, unnamed) is a recurring theme throughout saga and historical literature such as Óláfs saga Tryggvasonar en mesta, Kjalnesinga saga, and Gesta Hammaburgensis ecclesiae pontificum.
The inscription on the stone states three epithets:
Hróðvísl ok Farbjǫrn ok Gunnbjǫrn.
These epithets may be names for the respective deities. The second epithet is conventionally translated as travel-bear, but the prefix far- denotes a number of elements referring to travel and motion. The term can refer to the movement of clouds, in the phrase, far á lopti — drift in the sky. May this epithet actually be cloud-bear? | 88 |

Helgi Hundingsbane is a Volsung Saga Hero mentioned in the Poetic Edda in Helgakviða Hundingsbana and well as in the Saga Hrómundar saga Gripssonar.
Helgi, the fifteen-year-old son of Sigmund and Borghild, avenges his father by killing Hunding, the Saxon king, earning the title Hunding's Bane. Known for his martial prowess, he is visited one day on his longship by Sigrún, a valkyrie who rides through air and sea and is aware of his deeds. She embraces and kisses him, and he instantly falls in love with her. | 68 |
