Telegram likely has security measures in place to prevent data breaches in such scenarios. 2. Telegram's headquarters are in Dubai, and the investigation is happening in France. They wouldn’t have been able to arrest Durov if he wasn’t in France.
3. Durov appears to have anticipated this situation. By staying active on his Telegram Channel and participating in interviews, he likely knew the risks and was prepared.
4. Telegram's servers are spread across four different data centers (though some users claim DC3 doesn't exist or is a test center; details are unclear).
5. China and Russia banned Telegram years ago. If India follows suit, it’s not the end of the world—you can use a VPN. For instance, Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 is an easy option.
6. Many are capitalizing on the fear of a Telegram ban to gain WhatsApp subscribers. This works because many people are unaware of VPNs or how to choose a good one.
7. Free speech is crucial, and Telegram is more than just a tool for bad actors; it's used by good people and politicians for various purposes.
8. Don’t worry too much about Telegram being banned—worry more about governments gradually eroding free speech. Support the digital resistance and stand against @durov's arrest.
