🚨 GLOBAL EMERGENCY ALERT 🚨
Gaza’s Nasser Medical Complex is on the brink of an IOF assault—tanks are already at its gates, and shelling has reached the perimeter. This hospital serves over 2 million people at 180% capacity, with no safe corridors for supplies. Health workers are even donating their own blood to keep patients alive.
We cannot stand by. Tagging @KeirStarmer (UK), @MarkJCarney (Canada) & @EmmanuelMacron (France) to demand they:
--> PUBLICLY CALL FOR PROTECTION of Nasser and Al Amal hospitals.
--> SUSPEND ALL MILITARY TRANSFERS to and from Israel.
--> ENSURE SAFE PASSAGE for humanitarian and medical aid.
--> BROKER A PERMANENT CEASEFIRE.

| 2 | Join us TOMORROW at Simcoe Hall (27 King’s College Circle) to honour our peers in Gaza whose academic futures have been destroyed by the ongoing genocide and scholasticide. Let us come together, students, staff, and UofT community members, and demand that UofT end its complicity by cutting ties with Israeli academic institutions and divesting from companies complicit in apartheid and genocide.

| 3 | Yesterday, on the one year anniversary of the People’s Circle for Palestine, we organized an art build and protest, bringing the community back to the lawn we occupied for two months last year. Throughout the art build, we had informal discussions about our new campaign—UofT Drop HUJI—as people made signs, posters, stickers, and more. Despite UofT roping off the field, we marched on to the grass where our tent marks from a year ago remain, demonstrating that the campus will always belong to the students.
We must remember that although the encampment marks a time when the students made their opposition to Zionism abundantly clear to the university, it remains complicit in the ongoing genocide in Gaza. We vow to continue organize the student body at UofT, sharpening our strategy and tactics in the building of a movement that will compel the university to disclose, divest, and cut ties. We will not stop, we will not rest, until the liberation of Palestine.

| 4 | Exactly one year ago today, students at the University of Toronto established the People’s Circle for Palestine. 365 days later, there is still an ongoing genocide in Gaza, and UofT remains wedded to the Zionist project. We vow to continue to organize, sharpening our strategy and tactics, until this institution is compelled to disclose, divest, and cut academic ties. Until liberation 🇵🇸 | 741 |
| 5 | In response to our campaign, UofT has REMOVED information regarding its partnership with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HUJI) from its Middle East and North Africa (MENA) partnerships page.
UofT knows its ties to HUJI are immoral and violate international law; but instead of listening to its students and their calls to drop HUJI, UofT is trying to hide its complicity!

| 7 | 🚨APRIL 12🚨 - STUDENT CONTINGENT FOR THE NATIONAL MARCH IN OTTAWA
For over 17 months, Gaza has endured a relentless genocide carried out by the Zionist occupation, fully backed by the U.S. and its allies, including Canada. As our universities continue investing in weapons manufacturers that facilitate the mass killings of our people, we are calling on students to join us as we march on Parliament Hill on April 12th to hold our politicians accountable.
As the election approaches, we refuse to let politicians evade accountability to the people with their vague statements as they continue to green-light Israel’s genocide by funding and arming the Zionist entity. The students demand Canada end its complicity in the genocide by demanding a ceasefire, the lifting of the siege on Gaza, the flow of humanitarian aid and a full two-ways arms embargo.

| 9 | TOMORROW: ALL OUT TO UOFT
REMINDER: Tomorrow is supposed to be cold and rainy. Please bring umbrellas, raincoats, as well as anything else you need to stay warm and dry.
As the Zionist entity resumes its brutal, indiscriminate, and genocidal bombardment of Gaza, and as the American state abducts and deports students for standing with Palestine, UofT is maintaining its institutional complicity while appointing a new President to replace the disgraced Zionist Meric Gertler.
New President or not, UofT is still an institution backed heavily by Zionist donors and ideologically committed to the Zionist project. The student intifada must rise to the moment and demand UofT commit to severing all institutional ties with the criminal state of Israel. United, we will win. All out April 2!

| 11 | This month, students across so-called Canada joined together with banner drops at McGill University, York University, University of British Columbia, MacEwan University, and the University of Toronto targeting our administrations’ roles in funding and normalizing genocide and occupation.
With the resurgence of the bombardment on Gaza by the terrorist entity of “Israel”, now more than ever do students across Canada reaffirm their commitment to divestment and cutting ties. We must continue to mobilize and fight for an end to any and all forms of support for the genocidal occupation at once.
We will not be silent while our universities are complicit in Palestinian death and displacement. The students united will never be defeated. Until total liberation. | 1 350 |
| 12 | Join the student contingent! The students must continue to show up and let this government know that we will not stop and we will not rest until a liberated and free Falasteen 🇵🇸
Israel has resumed its genocidal war on Gaza. At least 320 Palestinians have been martyred and dozens more injured after intense bombing throughout the Gaza Strip.
This attack on Gaza, carried out with the full backing of the US and Canadian governments, comes after Israel refused to abide by the original terms of the ceasefire, which was supposed to enter phase 2 at the beginning of March. Instead, for the last two weeks, Israel has completely cut off humanitarian aid, fuel and electricity and carried out countless killings of Palestinians across the Gaza Strip.
Join us TODAY - TUESDAY MARCH 18 at 5:30pm to demand an immediate two-way arms embargo and an end to the genocide which has devastated our people in Gaza and across Palestine. | 1 423 |
| 13 | Yesterday, March 10, we began Israeli Apartheid Week with two banner drops and a flyer drop focussed on building student awareness around our new campaign: UOFT DROP HUJI. The Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HUJI) is structurally intertwined with the Zionist state, making them active partners in all of Israel’s crimes.
Our actions were a resounding success; the banners remained up for well over an hour while numerous students stopped to take photos, and our flyers were frequently picked up by students interested in learning more about UofT’s criminal ties to HUJI. During the flyer drop, we also played audio from speakers that elaborated on HUJI’s crimes and UofT’s institutional complicity in them.
If you would like to learn more about or assist with our HUJI campaign we highly recommend you attend our HUJI Town Hall on March 13 @5pm (RSVP here). We also welcome you to attend our film screening on March 12 and panel discussion on March 14.

We will discuss recent developments within Gaza and the West Bank, the duplicitous nature of Western media discourse, and the state of the Palestine solidarity movement in Toronto.
Our panelists will be Amer, from the Toronto chapter of the Palestinian Youth Movement, and Alqassem, a Labour for Palestine organizer and CUPE Ontario Executive Board Vice-President.

We will cover the strategic importance of ending academic partnerships in the broader fight for Palestinian liberation, the colonial history of the Israeli higher education system, UofT's connections to the Hebrew University, and why we've chosen HUJI as our primary target.
Iftar will be provided and you can RSVP here.

| 16 | Join us next Wednesday, March 12, for a screening of Naila and the Uprising as our first public event during Israeli Apartheid Week. Iftar will be provided and you can RSVP here.
When a nation-wide uprising breaks out in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, a young woman in Gaza must make a choice between love, family, and freedom. Undaunted, she embraces all three, joining a clandestine network of women in a movement that forces the world to recognize the Palestinian right to self-determination for the first time. Naila and the Uprising chronicles the remarkable journey of Naila Ayesh and a fierce community of women at the frontlines, whose stories weave through the most vibrant, nonviolent mobilization in Palestinian history - the First Intifada in the late 1980s.

| 19 | ARMED ZIONIST EXTREMIST ALLOWED ON CAMPUS BY UofT ARRESTED
Eli Schwarz, a self-declared member of Kahane Chai, an internationally recognized pro-Israel terrorist organization, was recently arrested by Toronto Police. After uttering death threats toward pro-Palestine protesters, police searched Schwarz’s home and found a 357 magnum rifle with a scope and 10 boxes of ammunition. Schwarz has been a consistent presence on UofT's St. George campus ever since the launch of the Peoples' Circle for Palestine. Demand UofT ensures students’ rights to safety and freedom of expression!
https://linktr.ee/occupy.uoft
At the start of the school year, UofT announced new, draconian regulations on campus protesting. These regulations included, but were not limited to, bans on megaphones, posters, chalk, and projections. Essentially, every conceivable protest tactic was banned. It is obvious that this wave of restrictions comes in response to pro-Palestine activism at UofT, as the school's Zionist donors have spent months pressuring the administration to crack down on pro-Palestine organizing.
The rise of Islamophobia on campus cannot be separated from the UofT administration's months-long smear campaign, which baselessly claimed that the Peoples' Circle for Palestine was a violent and anti-semitic space.
It is also the rise of a pro-Palestine student movement that has caused UofT to call on the Toronto Police Service in an attempt to quell dissent, breaking a decades long agreement that TPS would let UofT's own campus cops police UofT property.
We must pressure UofT to uphold freedom of expression and protect the safety of its students, particularly its Muslim and Palestinian communities who are most directly impacted by the hate groups the administration has emboldened. Flood UofT's inboxes and phone lines with calls for it to stand with its students and against hate. Find the email and phone script in our LinkTree. | 1 436 |
