🌟 Reading Challenge Alert!
Today, we’re kicking off our Reading Challenge! 📖✨
Who’s in? 🙋♀️🙋♂️
We’ll tackle Passage 1 together, step by step,
and you’ll finally understand the real logic behind True / False / Not Given questions 🔍💡
🔹 Passive Voice: How to Use It
✅ Formula Object + be (is/are/was/were/been/being) + V3 (past participle) 📌 Examples: • The juice is filtered. (Sharbat filtrdan o‘tkaziladi) • The documents were signed. (Hujjatlar imzolandi) ⸻ ✅ Why Passive Voice is Important in IELTS Task 1 • Diagrams ko‘pincha kim bajaradi degan savolga javob bermaydi. (e.g., kim sharbatni tozalaydi? noma’lum) • Shuning uchun “by someone” kerak emas. • IELTS examiner passive structure ishlatishni kutadi → bu grammatik diapazonni ko‘rsatadi. ⸻ 🔹 How to Use Passive Voice Correctly 1. Use “be” forms correctly • Singular (one item) → is/was • Plural (many items) → are/were 📌 Example: • The machine is used in the factory. (Mashina ishlatiladi) • The machines are used in the factory. (Mashinalar ishlatiladi) ⸻ 2. Always use the 3rd form (V3) of verb • ✅ The juice is purified. • ❌ The juice is purify. (xato) • ❌ The juice is purifying. (xato) ⸻ 3. Avoid unnecessary “by someone” • IELTS Task 1-da who does it odatda muhim emas. • ✅ The water is boiled. • ❌ The water is boiled by workers. (ortiqcha) ⸻ 4. Keep tenses consistent with the process • Diagramda hozirgi zamon ko‘rsatilsa → Present Passive (is/are + V3) • Diagramda o‘tgan jarayon bo‘lsa → Past Passive (was/were + V3) 📌 Example: • Present: The seeds are planted. • Past: The seeds were planted. ⸻ 5. Combine with sequencing words • IELTS Task 1 da passivni sequence markers bilan ishlatish kerak: Initially, … / After being … / Once … / Before the final stage … 📌 Example: • Initially, the rice is washed. After being boiled, it is served. ⸻ 🔹 Common Mistakes in Passive Voice ❌ Mistake 1: Forgetting “be” • The water boiled (Active) • ✅ The water is boiled (Passive) ⸻ ❌ Mistake 2: Using wrong verb form • The food is cook. ❌ • ✅ The food is cooked. ⸻ ❌ Mistake 3: Mixing tenses randomly • The juice is purified and was stored. ❌ (mismatch) • ✅ The juice is purified and stored. (Present) • ✅ The juice was purified and stored. (Past) ⸻ ❌ Mistake 4: Forgetting plural agreement • The apples is washed. ❌ • ✅ The apples are washed. ⸻ ❌ Mistake 5: Overusing “by” • The paper is recycled by workers in the factory. (ko‘pincha ortiqcha) • ✅ The paper is recycled in the factory. ⸻ 🔹 Uzbek Explanation (o‘zbekchada) 📌 Passive voice nima? Passive – bu gapda e’tibor ish bajaruvchiga emas, ishning o‘ziga qaratiladi. 👉 Oddiy gap (active): Fermyer paxtani yig‘adi. 👉 Passiv gap: Paxta yig‘iladi. IELTS Task 1 da aynan passiv ishlatiladi, chunki ko‘pincha kim bajaradi noma’lum. ⸻ 📌 Formulasi: Narsa + bo‘lmoq (is/are/was/were) + fe’lning 3-shakli (V3) 📌 Xatolardan saqlanish usullari: 1. Har doim fe’lning 3-shaklini ishlat. (wash → washed, boil → boiled). 2. Yakka va ko‘plikka e’tibor ber (is/was – bitta, are/were – ko‘p). 3. Ortiqcha “by someone” ishlatma. 4. Diagram qaysi zamonda berilgan bo‘lsa, o‘sha zamonda yoz. 5. Passivni sequencing so‘zlar bilan ishlat (Initially, After being…, Once…).

Which section/question type do you struggle with?
PART 1 | TOPIC-5. GIFTS
1. How do we choose gifts?
I think we usually choose gifts based on the recipient’s personality and interests. For example, if someone is into music, I’d probably buy them something tailored to their taste, like a new album. Sometimes, the choice is also occasion-based — a wedding gift feels very different from a casual birthday present. ⸻ 2. What do you consider when choosing a gift? When I pick a gift, I always think about its usefulness and whether the person will genuinely appreciate it. I also consider my budget, because I believe a present doesn’t need to be costly to carry sentimental value. Even a budget-friendly but thoughtful gesture can be memorable. ⸻ 3. What kind of gifts are popular in your country? In my country, practical gifts like perfumes, clothes, or small household items are quite common. On special occasions, people often give money in an envelope, which is seen as both traditional and convenient, since the recipient can buy whatever they truly need. ⸻ 4. What’s the best gift you have ever received? The most unforgettable gift I’ve received was a wristwatch from my parents. Beyond being a keepsake, it carried a lot of emotional value because it was meant to symbolize the importance of using my time wisely. That meaningful present still reminds me of their love and support. ⸻ 5. What gift have you received recently? Quite recently, my friend surprised me with a set of handmade stickers. It had such a personal touch, and because I sell stickers myself, it felt like a unique and supportive gesture. To me, that was far more special than a generic gift from a shop. ⸻ 6. Do you like to give expensive gifts? To be honest, I don’t. For me, the thought behind the gift matters more than its price tag. Of course, on special occasions I might spend extra, but in general, I avoid breaking the bank. I’d rather give a meaningful present than an unnecessarily expensive one. ⸻ 7. How often do you buy gifts for other people? Not that often, to be honest. I usually buy them only on special occasions like birthdays, weddings, or New Year. But sometimes, if I spot something that instantly reminds me of a friend, I’ll buy it on the spot just to brighten their day with a surprise. ⸻ 8. Why do people give gifts? I’d say people give gifts to express love, gratitude, or appreciation. It’s also a way to strengthen relationships or to celebrate milestones like graduations or anniversaries. In a way, a gift works as a symbol of connection, showing care and building emotional bonds. ⸻ 9. Have you ever received a gift which you didn’t like? Yes, I have. Once I got a sweater that was the wrong size and color. I did appreciate the effort, but it didn’t match my style, so I never wore it. It was a bit of an awkward situation, but I stayed polite because I didn’t want to hurt the giver’s feelings.
Congratulations on your achievement 👏🏻
1 month of hard work paid off 🤩👏🏻
If you agree with the statement in IELTS Task 2, you have two main options for your body paragraph structure:
Option 1 – Fully agree (both paragraphs support your opinion) • BP1: First strong reason why you agree (+ example/evidence) • BP2: Second strong reason why you agree (+ example/evidence) ✅ This is clear, focused, and safe. IELTS examiners like essays that stick to one clear position and develop it well. ✅ Best when you have enough strong points to fill two paragraphs without repeating yourself. Example (topic: Doctors should educate patients about health): • BP1: Doctors are trusted authorities → more effective than online sources. • BP2: Prevention is cheaper than treatment → education reduces future costs. ⸻ Option 2 – Acknowledge the opposite view, then refute • BP1: Why some people might disagree (briefly) + why this is less convincing. • BP2: Stronger reasons why you agree (main focus). ✅ This makes your essay more balanced and can sound very sophisticated if done well. ⚠️ But be careful — spend more space on your opinion, otherwise your stance may seem unclear. Example (same topic): • BP1: Some say it’s not a doctor’s role (treatment > education), but this ignores long-term benefits of prevention. • BP2: Doctors have the knowledge and trust to educate effectively, improving public health overall.
1️⃣ Общая логика написания body paragraph, если ты agree
У тебя есть 2 body paragraphs: • BP1 – твой главный аргумент, почему ты согласна • BP2 – ещё один сильный аргумент (можно добавить “why some people disagree” и потом показать, почему ты всё равно согласна) ⸻ 2️⃣ Как развивать идею — пошагово для каждого предложения Sentence 1 — Topic Sentence Это первое предложение в абзаце, которое даёт главную идею. 💡 Вопросы к себе: • What is my main reason for agreeing? • Can I phrase it clearly in one sentence? Example: One key reason why doctors should educate patients about health is that medical professionals have the expertise to provide accurate and reliable information. (Сразу говоришь, в чём твоя идея — expertise, без деталей.) ⸻ Sentence 2 — Explanation Ты должна развернуть идею, объяснив why / how. 💡 Вопросы к себе: • Why is this reason true? • How does it connect to the topic? • What happens if we don’t do this? Example: Because of their years of training and clinical experience, doctors are uniquely positioned to guide patients in making informed lifestyle choices. (Ты раскрыла, почему именно врачи — “years of training” + “uniquely positioned”.) ⸻ Sentence 3 — Specific Detail / Logical Extension Теперь углубляемся: показываем mechanism или cause–effect. 💡 Вопросы к себе: • What does this lead to? • What is the benefit or consequence? Example: This guidance can help individuals prevent chronic illnesses such as diabetes or heart disease, which often result from poor lifestyle decisions. (Добавила cause–effect: врач → совет → профилактика → меньше болезней.) ⸻ Sentence 4 — Example Приводим realistic / relevant пример (можно реальный или выдуманный, но правдоподобный). 💡 Вопросы к себе: • Do I know a real-life example, statistic, or study? • Can I make a mini-story? Example: For instance, a recent public health initiative in Japan involved doctors providing dietary advice to their patients, leading to a measurable decrease in obesity rates over a five-year period. (Example связывает твою идею с чем-то конкретным.) ⸻ Sentence 5 — Link / Mini-conclusion Связываем всё с main topic и плавно уходим к следующему абзацу. 💡 Вопросы к себе: • How can I summarise this point in one line? • How can I naturally lead to the next idea? Example: Therefore, empowering doctors to take on this educational role can significantly improve public health outcomes. (“Therefore” связывает аргумент и делает мини-вывод.) ⸻ 3️⃣ Linking words — как не переборщить Если ты в каждый sentence вставишь linking word — это будет звучать unnatural. Band 9 — это не “as a result, moreover, furthermore” в каждом предложении. 🔹 Правило: • В начале абзаца — topic link (One key reason…, Another important factor…) • Для explanation — because, since, due to (внутри предложения, а не в начале) • Для example — for instance, for example, such as • Для вывода — therefore, thus, as a result ⸻ 4️⃣ Как держать natural flow • Не делай резких склеек типа “Firstly… Secondly…” везде. Иногда просто пиши предложения, которые логически вытекают друг из друга. • Используй synonyms вместо повторов (doctor → medical professional → healthcare provider). • Не перегружай linking words — достаточно 2-3 на абзац. • Внутренняя связка — повтор ключевого слова в новом предложении с синонимом или перефразом. • ❌ Bad: “Doctors should teach patients… Doctors should tell patients… Doctors should… Doctors should…” • ✅ Good: “Doctors should teach patients… These healthcare providers can also offer… Such medical guidance helps…”

Essay with Step-by-Step Explanation
Introduction In today’s world, where health challenges are becoming more complex, the idea that doctors should be responsible for educating patients about improving their health is both timely and significant. → This is the background sentence. It introduces the topic and makes it sound relevant. I fully agree with this view for several compelling reasons. → This is the thesis statement — it clearly states your opinion (agree) and signals that reasons will follow. ⸻ Body Paragraph 1 — Doctors’ expertise ensures accurate advice To begin with, doctors possess the professional knowledge and experience necessary to provide reliable health guidance. → This is the topic sentence — it gives your first main reason. This is because they undergo years of medical training and stay updated with the latest research, enabling them to give advice that is both evidence-based and tailored to individual needs. → This is an explanation sentence — “This is because” links the reason to your topic sentence. For example, a patient suffering from high blood pressure may receive precise dietary and lifestyle recommendations that are far more effective than general advice found online. → This is an example sentence — “For example” signals real-life evidence to support your point. As a result, when patients receive education directly from their doctors, they are more likely to follow safe and scientifically proven methods to improve their health. → This is a result sentence — “As a result” shows the consequence of your example. ⸻ Body Paragraph 2 — Preventive education reduces long-term healthcare costs Another key reason is that when doctors educate their patients, it promotes prevention rather than cure. → This is the topic sentence for the second reason — “Another key reason is…” smoothly moves to a new idea. In other words, patients who understand how to maintain a healthy lifestyle are less likely to develop serious illnesses in the first place. → This is a paraphrase/clarification — “In other words” makes your point easier to understand. For instance, doctors who encourage regular exercise, balanced nutrition, and routine check-ups help their patients avoid conditions such as type 2 diabetes or heart disease. → This is an example sentence for the second reason. Consequently, this not only improves quality of life for individuals but also reduces the financial burden on healthcare systems. → This is a result sentence — “Consequently” shows the benefit of the example. ⸻ Conclusion In conclusion, educating patients is an essential responsibility of doctors because it ensures that people receive accurate health information and encourages preventive practices that benefit both individuals and society. → This is the summary sentence — it restates the two reasons from the body. Therefore, it is clear that doctors should play an active role in teaching their patients how to improve their health. → This is the final opinion sentence — it closes the essay confidently. Now you can clearly see the flow: Topic sentence → Explanation → Example → Result and the linking words: To begin with, This is because, For example, As a result, Another key reason, In other words, For instance, Consequently, In conclusion, Therefore.
