4	Alert: Long post Seeking Legal Advice on Building Society's Security Breach & MC's Misconduct I need urgent legal guidance regarding a serious security breach and mismanagement by the Managing Committee (MC) of my society, which is located in a prestigious neighborhood. Background: • My tenant (along with her husband and children) lived in my apartment for three years under a 5-year lease agreement with a 3-year lock-in period. • She was difficult from the start, and when she decided to vacate, she made unethical demands that violated our lease agreement. • I escalated this to the MC, who initially offered to intervene and were copied on all email exchanges between us. • Despite clear evidence of the tenant’s misconduct and false claims, the MC remained silent and took no action. Security Breach & Unauthorized Access: • Weeks prior to the move-out day, despite my clear written instructions to the Estate Management Office (EMO) that no move-out should be permitted without my consent, my entire apartment was emptied without my approval. • When I questioned this, an MC member misled me, claiming the tenant may have used an access pass from another apartment. • Upon my own investigation, I discovered that: o The tenant’s husband rented another apartment in the same building and used his gate pass to give unauthorized access to movers and packers, violating society bye-laws. o This happened over multiple days, in full view of the Security and EMO. o The EMO, which controls all gate passes, access cards, and car park passes, had issued new passes to the tenant’s spouse months before, without informing me. o The MC member who pretended to help me was actually covering up for the tenant and misleading other MC members. MC & EMO's Cover-Up & Failure to Act: • The EMO manager admitted a lapse but is now being pressured by the MC to stay silent. • The MC has refused to acknowledge the security breach and is blocking the EMO from issuing me a formal apology. • Despite repeated emails and follow-ups for 3 months, there has been no response. • To further harass me, the EMO retracted their own commitment to deduct the tenant’s unpaid electricity bill from her security deposit, forcing me to pay. Legal advise Needed:I How can I hold the MC and EMO accountable for their gross negligence and misconduct, ensuring: 1. Formal acknowledgment of the security breach and mismanagement. 2. 20	I was riding my bike in a very dark place. Around 10:05 pm I had to stop and pee. As I stood there, I saw a person hanging from a truck. But they weren't moving. I was scared, but I knew I had to call the police. I called them and waited for what felt like forever. I was alone in the dark with a dead body. When the police came, they were nice to me. One of them said, "You're very brave. Not many people would stay calm in a situation like this." I didn't feel brave, but it was nice to hear. I was just glad the police came and took care of everything. The deceased was a truck driver who had hanged himself from his truck. He had also recorded a video explaining his actions, but unfortunately, his phone's battery had died, leaving the motivations behind his decision unknown Following the police investigation, I was asked to accompany them to the police station, where I provided a statement and signed some documents. After about three hours, I was released. The entire experience was unsettling, and I hope the family and loved ones of the deceased find the support they need during this difficult time.	294
