- The participant completed the task exactly as written, but the bounty creator refused to pay, claiming the ticker was incorrect.
- The backlash led the community to launch a separate token, $BOUNTYWORK, which quickly gained traction and, according to community reports, generated over $25K in fees to support the man behind the tattoo.
The original bounty creator later offered $3K if he agreed to fix the tattoo.
