LEVELQ Team: What role does the LVLQ token play in your ecosystem? What features and benefits does it provide to users?
Jerome: LVLQ token is crucial in the ecosystem as its the entry point for any users that wants to enhance their usage of the platform and start benefiting from its utilities. LVLQ by itself does not get any benefit, it needs to be turned into veLVLQ so that users can upgrade their experience on the platform.
The main benefits and utility tied with LVLQ are:
- token buyback and burn
- token rewards + ecosystem growth
LEVELQ Team: Can you elaborate on the token buyback and burn mechanism? How does it affect the value of the token?
Jerome: The buyback and burn mechanism is how LevelQ ensure its ecosystem remain vibrant and loyal. Periodically vault fees accrued in the treasury will be used to purchase LVLQ token on the open market and subsequently burn it. This mechanism will be first be manual while in the future could become automated with governance vote.
The effect of the buyback and burn essentially reduces LVLQ supply over time, the higher the accrued fee the higher the deflationary pressure.
LEVELQ Team: What benefits are provided to LVLQ token holders and how can they participate in the management of the platform?
Jerome: Holding LVLQ token is the first step towards upgrading your experience on the platform. LVLQ will not hold governance rights, hence one must lock it for different period of time and receive an equivalent amount of veLVLQ based on the lock period. veLVLQ is non transferable and it's purpose is to provide utility to its holders, rewarding long-term commitment with higher benefits.
