To December 2nd Test Takers:
I wish everyone luck on the upcoming test!
Let's pray all the questions yall might miss(I hope not a single oneπ) will be pretest ones!π
UPD: For those who don't know:
The College Board has designed the Digital SAT in such a way that 8 questions throughout the test (4 per section and 2 per module) are "pretest" or "experimental" questions that aren't scored at all. They're mixed in with the rest of the questions, so you can't really identify them--it's quite possible that some questions you were unsure about or messed up on will not affect your final score.
These questions are included so that the College Board can try out new questions in an actual test setting to gather data to use when designing future questions.

The Power of Flash Cards in Vocabulary Learning
Learning a advanced glossary can be an exhilarating yet challenging endeavor(effort, aspiration, attempt). Whether you're a student, a professional expanding your skill set, or simply a language enthusiast, building a strong vocabulary is often a key milestone in the language acquisition journey. Among the myriad of tools and techniques available, flash cards stand out as one of the most effective and versatile methods for learning words. In this article, we will explore why flash cards are considered one of the best ways to enhance vocabulary and accelerate language learning.
1. Active Recall and Spaced Repetition
Flash cards leverage the principles of active recall and spaced repetition, two powerful cognitive strategies that enhance memory retention. Active recall involves actively retrieving(extract, get out) information from memory, which strengthens the neural pathways associated with that information. Spaced repetition, on the other hand, is a technique that involves reviewing information at increasing intervals over time. The combination of these two strategies creates an optimal learning environment, allowing learners to reinforce their memory progressively.
2. Engagement and Interactivity
Flash cards are inherently interactive, turning the learning process into an engaging activity. When using flash cards, learners actively participate in the learning process, rather than passively absorbing information. The act of flipping through cards, recalling meanings, and forming associations fosters a deeper understanding of the words. This hands-on approach helps learners connect with the material on a personal level, making it more memorable and enjoyable.
3. Portability and Convenience
Flash cards are incredibly portable and convenient(especially virtual onesπ), making them a practical tool for learners with busy schedules. Whether you're commuting, waiting in line, or taking a short break, you can easily carry a set of flash cards and turn those idle moments into productive learning opportunities. The convenience of flash cards allows for consistent, bite-sized study sessions that contribute to long-term retention.
4. Multisensory Learning
Flash cards can incorporate various sensory elements, appealing to different learning styles. Visual learners benefit from the inclusion of images or diagrams, while auditory learners may find value in associating words with pronunciation through audio cues. The multisensory nature of flash cards caters to diverse learning preferences, accommodating(containing, including) a wide range of learners and enhancing the overall learning experience.
With that being said, I sincerely encourage you to work with the infamous College Panda vocabulary list in the format of flashcards (+ the version in pdf is also available) due to their advantages, which were the crux(the main point, essence) of the article above.
