«مردای لعنتی! مشکل شمایین! مذهب نمیجنگه، اسلحه نمیكشه و بايد خيلى واضح بدونى كه هاكى به کسی تجاوز نمیكنه! اما میدونى كى اينكارا رو انجام میده؟ میجنگه و میکشه و تجاوز میکنه؟» سونه گلويش را صاف میكند. «مردا؟» «مردا! هميشه مرداى لعنتی!» - بخشی از کتاببا اینکه حجم کتاب نسبتا زیاد بود ولی انقدر روان و گیرا بود از موقع شروع کتاب تا به پایان رسوندنش، حتی ثانیهای دست از خوندن نکشیدم و در عرض سه ساعت کتاب رو تموم کردم. کاراکترها گاهی اونقدر دوستداشتنی بودن که بخوای بغلشون کنی و گاهی اونقدر احمق که بخوای به قتل برسونیشون. ناراحتکنندهست که چطور در سراسر دنیا دیدگاه مردم به تجاوز یکسانه و هرگز کسی حرف زنها رو باور نمیکنه. اینکه چطور وقتی یک تجاوز رخ میده، همهی مردم قربانی رو سرزنش و از متجاوز دفاع میکنن. در مورد ترجمه هم باید بگم که بهخاطر کامنتهایی که دیدم، قبل از کامل خوندن کتاب، بخشهاییش رو از نشر نون خوندم و بخشهایی رو از نشر علمی به ترجمهٔ میعاد جهانتیغ. و این ترجمه واقعا زیباتر بود و همینطور با حداقل سانسور (با اینکه ویراستاری کتاب نیاز به اصلاح داشت)
