"Genocide of Jidos: POT is shutting down 😔 Quoting a post from their official channel: 🚪 Jackpot.ton is closing its doors. Throughout our project's existence, we've witnessed extremely low player engagement. It seems that the concept of our project didn't interest many. The project's entire life depended directly on community engagement. Despite significant advertising on some of the largest TON-dedicated channels, the community showed no interest in us. We had to artificially create the appearance of a 'crowd' by filling game rounds with bots. (Bots had no advantage over real players and only brought losses in the long term.) As it turns out, the project has no future. Unfortunately, the TON blockchain, like most other blockchains, generates random numbers very poorly. The Randomize_lt we used in all our smart contracts could be falsified by a validator. Of course, there are other ways to safely generate random numbers, but then the whole process would have taken a lot of time, and the games would not have been as 'fun.' We believe that at the moment validators will not manipulate randomness, but it may (and will) happen in the future. Not accounting for the costs of developing and supporting the project, our current losses amount to approximately $130,000. We did not sell POT tokens from the developer's wallet. To cover at least part of our losses, we could have taken POT liquidity from DeDust and StonFi pools, but we decided to give everyone who hasn't done so yet the opportunity to sell their POT. On July 1, all liquidity we provided in POT/TON pairs will be removed. The price of the POT token will most likely drop to zero.
