The worst training accident in the history of the Canadian Army took place last night. Catastrophic mass casualty event with potentially hundreds of casualties. A comprehensive investigation must be conducted. The incident as described should not happen or even be possible. Our hearts go out to the soldiers families and their comrades working through the night to recover the dead and care for survivors.

Today, the CBC published what we would characterize as a defamatory, libelous work of fiction based upon the incredulous imagination of someone we suspect was sent to the organization for the purpose of information gathering. SSC contests these preposterous claims from their "anonymous source", who unfortunately for them, is not anonymous. CBC revealed the identity of this individual through correspondence and their own incompetent reporting. Libel and legal notices are being filed and we will be pursuing maximum execution of the non disclosure agreement terms that this person read, agreed to and signed. We employ proprietary methods of retaining critical information for exactly this scenario and it took all of 14 minutes before the offending party was identified and handed off to legal. This is not the first time CBC burned their own 'sources' through sloppy execution. The risk of legal damages is very real, so if you're considering 'bashing the fash' and getting into bed with CBC - we would suggest to at least choose a sturdier boat with a significantly less mentally deficient crew and captain. - SSC staff

RECRUITING NOTICE We have been fortunate enough to receive a substantial number of applications this past year. As an all volunteer organization, it has been a time intensive passion project but we have been working toward streamlining our intake process towards a more efficient model. During this transition, we noticed that many applicants followed up that they hadn't received a response. Many email providers forward protonmail addresses like ours into spam, so check your junk folders if this might apply to you. Some files may also have been missed, so if you have not received anything and your junk folders are empty, just apply again and our team will get back to you asap. As this is just our second year in operation and with an organization of this size, a level of growing pains cannot be avoided. It has come to our attention that several prospective members had been turned away for inconsequential or heavy handed reasons. There has been a shakeup of staffing in some areas and with some quality guys inserted to oversee that this does not happen again. If you think this may apply to you, reach out through our intake form or email us at the club address below and we'll take a look. A video project detailing our latest national event in Alberta this past summer will be released shortly. It is a significant improvement upon last years effort and we are looking forward to hearing from you! Our website is undergoing an update and a friendly group has offered to extend their services in assisting to manage a support shop that will be attached to our website, so that anyone who is interested in supporting the club can do so there. Proceeds are entirely used for club operations, equipment rentals, clothing and transport on top of our own members club dues. A sincere thank you to our supporters here in Canada and around the world who have been instrumental in bringing this nationalist effort to life. This weekend, some of the members and prospects of Second Sons in British Columbia got together for a hike in the North Shore Mountains. Bonds were forged through the shared physical struggle as they climbed over 1200 meters in elevation and 10 kilometers to the peak for some sparring amongst the clouds. Members of one of the Second Sons British Columbia divisions conquered a mountain this past weekend. Climbing nearly 650m over 5 and a half kilometres to the peak with 50 pound rucksacks, they broke bread together and celebrated the achievement with a few rounds of alpine sparring to stretch their limbs before descending to rejoin the rest of the world.
