SAT Day Checklist 1. The Night Before Prepare these items: • Admission ticket (printed or saved on phone if allowed) • Passport or national ID (must match registration name) • Fully charged laptop (for Digital SAT) • Laptop charger • Approved calculator (even though most math allows Desmos) • 2 pencils / pen (for notes or scratch paper) • Small snack (protein bar, nuts) • Water bottle • Light jacket (rooms can be cold) Do NOT: • Study new material • Sleep late • Eat heavy junk food Goal: 7–8 hours sleep. 2. Morning of the Test Eat a stable breakfast You want slow energy, not sugar crash. Good examples: • Eggs + bread • Oatmeal • Banana + peanut butter • Yogurt + nuts Avoid: • Sugary drinks • Very heavy oily food 3. Arrival Strategy Arrive 30–40 minutes early. Why? Because if you’re late, the proctor can deny entry. Typical process: 1. Check-in 2. ID verification 3. Device check 4. Seating 5. Instructions 4. Digital SAT Setup On the Bluebook app: Before test day you must: • Download the app • Sign in • Complete device setup • Install test preview If you come without the setup done, you waste time and panic. 5. During the Test: Golden Rules Rule 1 — Time discipline • Don’t marry a question. • If stuck >30 seconds, flag and move. Rule 2 — Module awareness Second modules adapt difficulty.
