Happy International Tiger Day!  🐅 Today the whole world celebrates a holiday dedicated to these majestic predators. In Russia, where Amur tigers live, this day is celebrated especially brightly. Until recently, these animals were on the verge of extinction, but thanks to a large-scale program launched on the initiative of the President, their numbers have increased by one and a half times over the past 10 years!

In Ussuriysk, where the main part of the celebration takes place, hundreds of people in striped suits staged a “tiger procession,” and in Moscow, photos of tigers decorated the Ostankino Tower.

This holiday reminds us of the importance of wildlife conservation and that each of us can do our part to protect these amazing animals. Let's do everything possible together to ensure that tigers continue to decorate our planet!  🌍 #Ecosystem_IEC #EcoHolidays

What about youth international opportunities? 🔥 On July 23th, the grand opening of the BRICS Youth Summit took place in the Ulyanovsk region! 🌍 The event brought together 200 bright representatives of Brazil, India, China, Egypt, Iran, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, South Africa and various regions of Russia. The key topics of discussion will be the development of joint projects in education, science, entrepreneurship and volunteering.

The summit program opened with a plenary session, which was attended by Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District Oleg Mashkovtsev, Governor Alexey Russkikh and leaders of youth delegations.

#EcoHabits: Week 4 & Office Lunch Edition 🌿 🌱 Lunch is an essential part of office life. To ensure that your food and drinks at work are not only safe, but also environmentally friendly, consider adopting one or more of these habits:

💚 Minimize food delivery to the office, as this increases plastic waste and CO2 emissions from transportation. If you can't avoid it, choose delivery services that collect used plastic for recycling when you reorder. 💚 When ordering food delivery to the office, try to choose seasonal produce and pay more attention to plant-based foods. Consider hosting a "green food day" and trying plant-based alternatives to meat and dairy. 💚 Use reusable food containers and lunch boxes to purchase or bring prepared food from home. 💚 Minimize the use of plastic cups and bottles for drinking water, for example, by installing a water cooler. You can pour water into your own mug or reusable bottle.

🌏 Two important reasons to think about the future: International Day of Combating Sand and Dust Storms and World Youth Skills Day! 🏜 On July 12th, the world celebrated International Day of Combating Sand and Dust Storms.

Good news: here we see positive changes! The UN has developed a concept for the conservation and restoration of one billion hectares of land and is already involving world states in this.

🎓 And yesterday, July 15th, we celebrated World Youth Skills Day. This celebration highlights the importance of investing in the education and skills development of young generations to ensure they have a successful future in a rapidly changing world.

And here we also see some positive: more and more young people are seeking and have the opportunity to gain knowledge in the field of ecology, technology and sustainable development.

These two seemingly different holidays are closely related. Week 3. Green Office 🌿 🌱 The office is our second home. On average, we spend about 2,000 hours a year there. Therefore, it’s important to maintain cleanliness, comfort, and... eco-friendliness in the office! An eco-office is a concept that involves using environmentally friendly practices in the office. It helps to improve the company's reputation and working conditions for office employees. Let’s list these practices.

💚 Energy Saving in Action: • Activate the power-saving mode on your computer so that it "falls asleep" during prolonged inactivity. • Unplug devices when you leave for home. Even in "sleep" mode, appliances consume electricity. • Air conditioning and open windows are incompatible! Ventilate the room when the air conditioner is off, and vice versa.

💚 Second Life for Paper: • Reuse paper. Drafts, notes - give paper a second chance! • Double-sided printing is our everything! Save trees - print information on both sides of the sheet.

💚 Natural Greenery: • Use live plants, because they purify and humidify the air, soothe the eyes, and increase the concentration of oxygen around them.

💚 Waste sorting: • Set up separate bins in the office for different types of waste: paper, plastic, glass, metal and organic waste. • Place informative stickers on the bins so that colleagues understand what goes where. • Choose a convenient recycling service.

❤️ Taking care of our planet! We congratulate our subscribers on two important dates that passed last week: International Plastic Bag Free Day and Russian Nature Reserve Worker Day! 🗓 July 3rd marked International Plastic Bag Free Day, reminding us of the need to rationing plastic consumption and switch to more environmentally friendly alternatives. Rationing the use of plastic bags is a feasible contribution everyone can make to conserve the planet’s resources and protect its ecosystems.

🗓 On July 7th, we honored the work of Russian Nature Reserve Workers. Their dedication is the foundation for preserving unique natural complexes and biodiversity. Thanks to their professionalism and devotion, future generations will be able to enjoy the beauty and richness of nature. 🔹These two holidays are a great reason to think about our ability to preserve nature through the efforts of entire generations! On July 8th, all of Russia celebrated the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity. On this day, it was especially pleasant to learn about family stories of environmental activism - this is a wonderful example of how you can join forces and pass the cause from generation to generation.

The Youth of the World Unites: A Festive Marathon from Russia to Uzbekistan! This weekend passed under the banner of energy, drive, and ambitious plans – we celebrated two wonderful holidays at once: Russia's Youth Day on June 29th and Uzbekistan's Youth Day on June 30th! 🎉 Russian youth celebrated their holiday brightly and on a grand scale. A marathon of festivals in 35 regions of the country took place last weekend. 🇷🇺

🌏 Regional branches of the Ecosystem also prepared many events for young people: from recycling workshops and master classes to waste collection and passing environmental standards.

And the very next day, Uzbekistan picked up the festive baton! The country's youth celebrated their day with no less enthusiasm – on these days in Uzbekistan, the Global Youth Festival was held simultaneously in five cities: Samarkand, Bukhara, Jizzakh, Khorezm, and Tashkent. 🇺🇿

More than 700 young people from 92 countries came to participate. The event included 15 projects, for example, a gastronomic festival was held in Samarkand.
