| 7 |  I had a brief look into this. The Jews rejected both the original 1877 publication and the 2025 modernization of it. The list of reasons is long, the most obvious ones being factual inaccuracies in the text e.g. Acts 7:15-16. Only the bones of Jacob and Joseph were brought back. However Jacob was buried in Machpelah; Joseph at Shechem. Matthew 23:35 says Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, was murdered between the altar and the sanctuary. 2 Chronicles 24:20-21 says that Zechariah was the son of Jehoiada. They also tried to sneak in "Adonai" for God or YHWH.
In short, this exercise was a waste of time and money. | 73 |

It is understood to be an alternate spelling of Jashen (H3464), a name which also appears 1X in 2 Samuel 23:32, both of them referring to the same guy.
