What has happened is a disaster, but one I expected… I am not a resident of Germany and cannot assess how much life has worsened for the average family. But in my opinion, a populist party funded directly by influential countries (Russia, China) is not the one to rectify the situation - especially if Germans’ living standards have deteriorated because of the war Russia unleashed in Europe. Democracy has pros and cons, and the ‘reasoned minority’ usually suffers. The Russian special services may well be enjoying the finest drinks, having secured a tactical victory over Europe in the hybrid war they started against it
