I’m gonna be switching up my strat for degen plays and I’ll give a lil explanation to that. In the bear markets, “degen plays”meant trying to buy things as early as possible with the risk mindset that this could rug/go to zero v quickly and a good % of time, this did work. But however as I’ve noticed with current market trends this just does now work as well as it used to because it’s like a large majority of stuff are either insider plays or dev farms and pnds When you think back over the last couple weeks how many real launches actually went from degen plays to hero? I’ve seen prob less than 5 where we had degens with no inside knowledge scour Dexscreener, bid 200k mcaps and run it to 10s-100s of M of mcap so I don’t think the strategy of trying to bid things super early is as good anymore because the RR to degen isn’t just that good anymore. (except you’re just spray painting at new launches) So we said what doesn’t work but I’ll say what (I think) works a bit better now. Instead of trying to buy new launches early and getting rugged or farmed by devs I’m gonna switch things up to just buying dips on coins that had crazy run ups and didn’t rug in its first few days. Yes we will miss out on making crazy 100x kind of returns, but will decerease by a large amount how much shit rugs we’re aping. In current market metas where everything is running up too quickly to be early without being an insider and things that built a solid floor don’t just die in one candle, it’s prob a better strategy to bid dips on strong runners and scalp for 2-10x’s with much less risk and much more consistent upside. Obv everything is experimental and all this is experimental but I’ll rather try some more experimental stuff and change my approach to how I shill things than keep trying to do the same thing that’s clearly having much reduced hit rate and expecting something different like a fool 🫠. TLDR: Gonna take a new approach to bidding and shilling tokens here, will rather bid old solid coins in big dips for 2-10xs than bid new launches that have too much risk of being a rug/farm Calls here would now either be: - Dead old coins/community takeovers with the idea of waiting/praying for market to reprice them. - mid - big coins that are in 40-80% dips and have low chance of just dying in 1 candle. - and more experimental stuff Let’s see how it goes and what changes 🤞
