Nechirvan Barzani, who recently convinced the Iraqi prime minister and Shiite parties to postpone the June 10 parliamentary elections, is expected to visit Iran, coinciding with Bafel Talabani's trip to Washington. Talabani's visit to Washington might be viewed as a disappointment in Iran, as reports suggest Iran has agreed to support the election postponement, and Barzani's visit to Tehran after many years could signify a new opening in relations between the KDP and Iran.
