The JAMB spokesman, Dr. Fabian, announced during this morning's JAMB SPACE on X that
- NO CHANGE OF DATA (e.g., name, age, gender, state of origin) WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER JAMB REGISTRATION.
- Ensure all data is CORRECT before registering for JAMB. Failure to do so may result in irreparable
consequences.
To correct your data,
1. Visit NIMC to pull out your wrong details.
2. Send *REQUERY NIN* to 55019/66019.
3. You will receive a message saying your updated data has been successfully pulled from NIMC
4. Proceed to any CBT Center and inform the registration officer that you've made corrections.

*THINGS CANDIDATES SHOULD DO AFTER JAMB REGISTRATION*
After JAMB registration, candidates often want to know what next they are expected to do. The purpose of this post is to let UTME candidates know a couple of things they are expected to do after their JAMB registration.
Before we get into other things you are expected to do, the major thing you are expected to do now is simple. You should now study as much as you can. Try and cover the topics on the JAMB syllabus for your selected subjects.
Other things UTME candidates are expected to do after JAMB registration
*Exam date and any possible changes:* JAMB can change the dates of the exam or other aspects of the exam at any time. That has been the case in previous years. So it is advisable for candidates to stay updated as to know when any change like that has been made and print
*Printing of the JAMB exam slip*: The JAMB exam slip shows candidates the date of their exam, the centre, and the time of the exam. JAMB will announce an official date for candidates to print their exam slips.
*Link your email address to your JAMB profile:*
Candidates will be required to link their email addresses after the closure of JAMB registration. This is to enable them to login to the JAMB portal and the JAMB CAPS and be able to use services like change of course and institution, checking of admission status, etc.

*Difference Between DE & UTME*
*JAMB DIRECT ENTRY*
*1:* JAMB DE stands for Direct Entry
*2:* Only students who already had a degree from any University or Polytechnics in Nigeria can apply for this.
*3:* Direct Entry Students can also Apply for JAMB UTME if they want.
*4:* Admission is straight to 200 level in any University once admitted
*JAMB UTME*
*1:* JAMB UTME stands for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination
*2:* Students with a diploma, just O’ level certificate are qualified for this Exam.
*3:* JAMB UTME students (students with just credits in O’ level (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) can only apply for UTME and not DE.
*4:* Admission is to 100 level once admitted.

*_Potential Solutions to Profile Code Issues/Errors for 2025 Candidates_*
1. *NIN SMS Sent To 55019 But No Reply Or Not Sent?*
- Remove your SIM card from the phone, insert it into another phone, and resend.
2. *Phone Number Used Already By Another Candidate?*
- Use another line. You can buy a new line that has not been used. Ensure the line you use will not be used for JAMB again.
3. *Insufficient Balance?*
- Profile code generation costs N50, so ensure you have it on your phone's airtime before you send.
4. *Invalid Character Found?*
- Make sure you're using the correct format.
- To generate your profile code, send NIN followed by your 11-digit NIN to 55019 (e.g., NIN 45178345789).
- Ensure there are no commas (,), full stops (.), colons (:), or dashes (-), etc.
5. *Record Not Found For The NIN?*
- Check if the NIN you sent was correct or visit any NIN center to verify yours.
6. *Date Of Birth Invalid?*
- Go back to NIMC (where you did your NIN) to edit your date of birth. There is a cost for this, around N15,000.
7. *Surname/First Name Missing In Your NIN Details?*
- Wait for a few days and try again or visit an NIN center.
8. *Your NIN Passport Obtained Is Not Valid?*
- Wait for a few days and try again.
9. *No Record Found For NIN Contact NIMC?*
- Visit an NIMC Center to verify your NIN ASAP.
10. *Your Profile Code Has Been Used By Another Number.*
- This is particularly for those who have registered JAMB before now.
- JAMB won't send a new profile code, so text *RESEND* to 55019 using the former number.
11. *Unable To Charge Your Line At The Moment?*
- Wait for a while and try again
