The pie charts describe how the percentage of five different transport modes used by people in an unknown place to commute to a university with the aim of work and study changed from 2004 to 2009. Overall, Car was the main type of transport to visit the university in the initial year, while the opposite was true for walking. Of particular note is Bus, its popularity increased significantly over the years, making it the dominant transport in comparison to other categories. Initially, just over a half of people preferred to go to the university by Car, taking the lead in the diagram, distantly followed by Bus with 33%. Contrastingly, just under one in ten of the total population chose Bicycle to travel, while people also went to the university by train or on foot, standing at 4% and 3%, respectively. By 2009, there was a significant rise in the percentage of Bus users, reaching its all-time high of 46%, whereas Bicycle riders going to the university grew to 16%. However, there was a two-fold drop in the proportion of Car users, going down to 28% in 2009. Finally, the percentages of people going by Train or walking remained as the less used transport modes, albeit with some increases. #210 words@ieltsshokh
