All college authorities are releasing notification now after the incident happened. But these same colleges are not able to provide affordable and safe accommodation facilities to students. Most of the colleges don't have hostels. Even few have, then it's more expensive than PGs itself. University of Delhi, being such a big university is not able to provide hostels and accomplishments for even it's 10% students. Students are forced to live in such expensive and unsafe PGs. Delhi University is equally responsible for such incident. And so is the govt of Delhi, govt of India & MCD. All the parties, be it AAP or BJP, are responsible for it. The bureaucrats are responsible. Currently everyone is talking ohh, it shouldn't have happened. Blah blah blah But after 6 months, they all will be busy. All will leave students on their own. Again same will continue. Again a similar incident would happen. (At same place nearby, 4 years back a building collapsed. 2 years back old Rajinder Nagar case where 2 students died, and that coaching building fire case where more students died. Now pg collapsing with 30+ students affected. These are not numbers. They are lives.) What really we need is a change in the whole system!! But I don't think anyone cares that much about students!! Let's see where it takes.
