I'm aware that multitasking performance on my Android 14 builds with 4GB of RAM is completely bad. Yes, you are not alone in this, I am also going crazy with my apps dying in the background.
For you information, RAM usage on Android has increased from 1.8GB on A13 to 3.6GB on A14! You can read more about A14 requirements increase here.
Because of this, I'm looking for solutions to make the experience less painful for us poor 4GB RAM users.
Just to make it clear: I'm not promising anything.

Many people are looking for the ROM with the best battery, and my answer is always the same: ROMs can have an impact on the battery, but how much it delivers is very subjective, depending on each user.
If you want to be more sure about your battery performance, I highly recommend an app called Battery Guru.
It's the most complete battery monitoring app I've come across in all these years.
It shows you how many % of battery you're draining per hour, graphs, and goes beyond that, even showing you the wakelocks that prevent your device from going into deep sleep.
It's definitely one of those apps I install first after a clean flash.

| 15 | I wanted to share an important update with all of you regarding my unofficial builds of EvolutionX.
It is with pleasure that I inform you that our community now has an official maintainer, Etilyx, who has returned with the official EvolutionX builds! 🎉
In light of this development, I believe it is crucial for us to support the official maintainer and uphold the ROM's code of conduct. Therefore, I have made the decision to discontinue my unofficial builds.
You can now find the official EvolutionX build, complete with the July security patch, here. Clean flash IS MANDATORY!!! Device trees are different and will cause bootloop if you do dirty flash!
Additionally, I would like to inform you that I will be deleting the group and channel associated with my unofficial builds in the coming days. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your support and involvement during this journey. It has been an incredible experience, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this community.

- QS date/clock/battery customization
- QS panel styles
- QS header images
- OOS clear all button
- Per-app network restriction
- Status bar lyric support
- Status bar old mobile type icons
- Lockscreen battery info
- Lockscreen media artwork fade percent
- Proximity check on wake toggle
- Pocket mode toggle
Most of these were removed as the code changes by Google have made it near impossible to re-include them unless a rewrite of the code is made. We do have plans to bring them back, however, some have been broken entirely such as Proximity check on wake and Pocket mode. We're omitting them for now until we get them working again. Lockscreen battery info will not return as it only leads to misconceptions about charging time and temps.
Regarding the inclusion of OOS camera, it is still not allowed for future OnePlus releases. Meanwhile, MIUI Camera support will definitely return once the source commits to support them have been re-included. It will take some time but we do intend to release updates with Leica cam pre-included again, replacing GCam GO/Aperture camera. | 865 |
