At some point I got tired of defending myself, explaining my feelings, and trying to make people understand my side.
So instead, I stayed quiet.
Took the blame.
Distanced myself.
Disappeared.
Not because I didn't care, but because constantly feeling misunderstood becomes emotionally exhausting after a while.
