GOOD NEWS: Yesterday morning, troops of Sector 2 Operation FANSAN YAMMA, working with the Nigeria Police, reportedly foiled a bandit attack along the Dandume–Sheme Road in Katsina State and rescued three kidnapped victims. The troops responded to a distress call, engaged the bandits and forced them to flee into the bushes, with some reportedly sustaining gunshot wounds. The three rescued victims were identified as Mutairu Adamu, 58; Yusufa Habibu, 25; and Aminu Musa, 22. Two vehicles abandoned by the attackers were also recovered. Kudos to the troops for responding quickly and getting the victims out safely. This kind of timely intervention can save lives, especially along routes that have become vulnerable to attacks.
