#CCCPresser: GENERAL NOTICE to Zimbabweans, SADC, AU, and the International Community: Any correspondence you receive from a Zanu PF imposter named Sengezo Tshabangu does not represent the position, aspirations, values, activities, and objectives of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) led by President Advocate @nelsonchamisa, our Presidential Candidate in the recent flawed, sham, and shambolic elections.

#CCCPresser: To address the Zanu PF initiated recalls, here are the actions taken by the CCC: 1️⃣ During our 18th Citizens' National Assembly meeting, President Advocate Nelson Chamisa was mandated to write to the Speaker of Parliament, informing him that he acted in error. He has responded to us that the recall issue is now in court, and we await the court process. 2️⃣ The movement has filed a criminal case against the Zanu PF imposter under RRB number SSS1290. 3️⃣ In order to ensure the reinstatement of our MPs, Senators, and Councillors, we have disengaged from all parliament and council sittings for a period of 14 days.

#CCCPresser: Zanu PF has created an imposter to illegally recall our MPs for several reasons: 1️⃣They are deliberately attempting to acquire a 2/3rd majority through any means necessary. 2️⃣Zanu PF wants to establish a controlled opposition, a move we have staunchly rejected. 3️⃣Zanu PF wants to deprive the CCC of the Political Parties Fund it is rightfully entitled to. 4️⃣Zanu PF wants to shift the nation's focus away from the pressing issue of legitimacy. 5️⃣Zanu PF wants to undermine the genuine and alternative government that reflects the will of the Zimbabwean people.

#CCCPresser: A few weeks ago, an imposter illegally recalled our MPs. The CCC wants to clarify that President Advocate Nelson Chamisa-led party has not recalled any elected officials in relation to the recent fraudulent elections. Furthermore, we want to make it clear that the Citizens' Movement does not have such designation or office of an imposter by Zanu Pf who has been at the forefront of recalling our elected members. Lastly, we want to emphasize that the speaker of Parliament, Jacob Mudenda, made an erroneous decision based on a letter that did not represent the CCC, which was established on January 24, 2022.

🟡Hon. Amos Chibaya and his team submitted a letter to the Speaker of Parliament based on resolutions made by the CCC's highest decision-making body, the Citizens' National Assembly. The letter states that the recent recalls, effected by a non-member of the party, must be reversed and the affected members should be reinstated.

🟡Hon. Amos Chibaya and his team were mandated by the Citizens National Assembly to go to parliament and senate carry out the following actions: 1. Deliver the resolution of the Citizens National Assembly to the Speaker, stating that the collective leadership of CCC has not recalled anyone and that any such actions were illegal and must be reversed. 2. Notify Speaker and President that until the issue is resolved, we will not attend any parliamentary and senatorial sessions for the next 14 days, until our legitimate MPs and senators are reinstated. 3. Clarify to them that the CNA, as the Movement's highest decision-making body, does not have a position such as SG mandated to communicate on our behalf. The team was also mandated to file a police report against the fraud. We will not tolerate a daylight coup against our representatives.

🟡President @nelsonchamisa’ s nationwide citizens interface tour continued in Masvingo today. The citizens expressed the same views as our Change Champion in Chief that the recently held elections did not meet the standards of credibility, professionalism, impartiality, transparency, and integrity. Therefore, they all agreed that a fresh election, supervised by an independent electoral body, should be conducted. This body should include representatives from both political parties (CCC and Zanu PF), churches, youth groups, women's organizations, people with disabilities, and professional bodies. In preparation for the fresh elections, a Transitional Authority must be established to ensure a favorable electoral environment and also contribute to a stable political, economic, and social atmosphere.

🟡Today, more than a dozen of our members are facing various trumped-up charges and appearing before magistrates across the country. This continued persecution comes just a month after the country witnessed one of the most disordered, fraudulent, and rigged elections in our history. We strongly demand justice for our members. ▪️ Hon Job Sikhala is jointly charged with Lovemore Maiko in a trumped-up assault case. They are appearing in court today in Harare. ▪️ Hon Cheza and four others are appearing in court today in the Midlands Province. ▪️ Clr Chamunorwa is appearing in court today in Epworth. ▪️ Bindura Mayor, Cllr Jacob Gwature, is appearing today for a bail application in Harare. ▪️ Allan Tivapasi is appearing today for judgment in Karoi. ▪️ Bryan Brown Bangu is appearing in court today in Kadoma. ▪️ Champion Itai Mapurisa, who has been in prison since July 23, 2023, is appearing in court in Chitungwiza. We stand in solidarity with our members and continue to fight for justice.

🟡Annah Sande (25) has joined a group of young and professional individuals in national politics following her election as the Epworth Local Board Chairperson. She is deputized by Councillor Makoni Nobody. Sande holds a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Sociology from the University of Zimbabwe.
