Terry killed a US Marshall and three officers and wounded five others when they attempted to serve a warrant for being a felon in possession of a firearm. The reason you won’t hear much about this is because Terry is black and the officers he killed were White. I have to assume these officers would be equally willing to serve the exact same warrant to disarm a law abiding White man for the crime of being a political dissident with the wrong opinions. It sounds trite but I believe it’s true. People don’t care what you know unless they know that you care. In my opinion before a new group goes out to try and spread controversial (albeit necessary truths) it would do well to demonstrate its love and commitment for the community through various philanthropic actions. Disaster relief etc The most useful thing White men can do out is go and be pillars of their local communities. Build rapport for you and your guys, build trust, build support and then you can be much more productive in sowing those seeds of truth. We are in a hurry and we want to convert as many as quickly as possible. But if the farmer sows his seed in bad soil taken over by weeds he will find that his harvest will reflect this choice. Take the time to prepare the soil first, that would be my advice. It doesn’t have to be years, just spend some time building up a resume of prosocial activities that your crew does before asking people to listen to you say things that up until recently were dangerous to say.
