Repost from Bekhruz's vision
I have been working as a speaking mentor in VISION 2.0 for the past 6 days and during that period I noticed there is a huge room for improvement in most students' pronunciation. Here are the most important ones to learn: 1⃣➖🅰 sound. Students from Uzbek or Russian-speaking backgrounds might use a vibrated "R," and it makes them sound a bit weird. Through this you tube link you can get to know how this sound has to be pronounced. 2⃣➖🅰🅰 sound. Due to the absence of this sound in Uzbek pronunciation students face a big challenge while learning how to speak, with pronouncing words "think" as "sink" and "this" as "zis." Yet, we can put an end to that problem by watching this video and practicing the sound. 3⃣🅰 and 🅰 sounds. Students often confuse the "W" and "V" sounds due to the differences in pronunciation between their native languages and English. For example, they might say "would" as "vould" and "wear" as "vear". Watch this video for learning "W", watch this one for "V", and lastly watch this video to know the difference between these two sounds. 4⃣➖🅰 sound or SCHWA sound. The schwa /ə/ is a mid-central, relaxed, and unstressed vowel sound. It appears in unstressed syllables and can be represented by any vowel letter in written English. Watch this great video by Emma and master the sound. 5⃣➖🅰🅰adowing. Shadowing is one of, if not, the most effective ways to improve your pronunciation. Here is the list of speakers to imitate.
