Before he was a Prophet, he was known as Al-Amin.
The Trustworthy One.
He served everyone around him.
Long before revelation came, the people of Makkah trusted Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Not just his family and closest companions. Everyone.
He was honest in his dealings and reliable in his word.
He was a man his whole community could count on.
Being a good citizen isn't separate from our faith.
It is part of faith.
The Prophet ﷺ taught us that our character should be felt by everyone we live alongside.
That means our neighbours, colleagues, and even strangers.
As Singapore turns another year older,
we are reminded that the Muslim community has always had a role to play here.
Not despite our faith, but because of it.
Show up with integrity. Be the neighbour they can count on. Be the colleague who is trusted.
This is the Sunnah of Al-Amin ﷺ lived out, right here, in this land.
As we approach our beloved national day, let us take pride in and be grateful for this land we call home.
Happy National Day, Singapore. 🇸🇬

Everything you do today
can count as worship.
By doing this one secret action.
The very first hadith in Imam al-Nawawi's collection begins with intention.
"Actions are but by intentions, and every person will have only what they intended."
— Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim)
It wasn't placed first by accident. Intention is the foundation of everything you do in life.
Think about the last meal you prepared.
The last errand you ran.
The last message you sent.
Were you present or were you just going through the motions?
The same action, done with intention,
becomes something else entirely.
The secret: Recite Bismillah and mean it.
"In the name of Allah."
Reciting this is a deliberate turning of the heart toward Allah Almighty before you begin.
Even for the mundane things.
Especially for the mundane things.
When you do something for Allah Almighty, your entire perspective shifts.
Your speech becomes more careful.
Your thoughts more present.
Your hands more gentle.
A good intention doesn't just change why you act, but how you act.
Washing the dishes becomes gratitude.
Driving to work becomes trust.
Saying good morning becomes generosity.
Nothing is too small to be an act of worship.
You just have to mean it.

Du'a for ease:
اللَّهُمَّ لَا سَهْلَ إِلَّا مَا جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلًا وَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الْحَزْنَ إِذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلًا
Allahumma la sahla illa ma ja'altahu sahla, wa anta taj'alul-hazna idha shi'ta sahla
"O Allah, there is no ease other than what You make easy. If You please You ease sorrow."
When: Something feels impossible. A reminder that ease is entirely in Allah's hands.

"The mighty one is not he who wrestles, but he who retains his self-control when angry," (Al-Bukhari, Muslim)
Patience is at the first strike of calamity. When someone or something triggers you, it is very important to remain calm in those situations although it proves to be easier said than done most of the time.
Allah Almighty rewards you for your patience. Be patient, it increases your station, Insha'Allah. 🧡

You are never alone. He is always with you.
"We created man––We know what his soul whispers to him: We are closer to him than his jugular vein––" (Qur'an 50:16)"

A tree once cried for the Prophet ﷺ. Here's the story. 🧡
Every Friday, he ﷺ would lean against a date palm tree and speak.
The Companions would gather. The words of Allah would fill the air, and the tree held him with love.
Then one day, the Companions built him a pulpit. A proper mimbar. An honour for the Prophet ﷺ.
He ascended it, and for the first time, he didn't lean on the tree.
That's when they heard it. A sound filling the masjid. Like a she-camel crying. It was the tree.
The Companions froze. They had never heard anything like it.
A trunk of wood weeping. Who would've thought?
The Prophet ﷺ descended the pulpit mid-khutbah.
He walked to the tree and he held it.
The way you hold someone who is breaking.
The tree continued to moan like a child being quietened in someone's arms.
(Sahih al-Bukhari #3584)
The Companions named that spot.
Ustuwanah al-Hannanah.
The Pillar of Longing.
It still has a name in the Prophet's Masjid to this day.
Because even a tree's love for him ﷺ
was worth remembering.
Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammad.
🤍

"The beauty of a man is in the eloquence of his tongue." (Al-Qada'i, al-Askari)
Reminder: Speak good, or remain silent. Always choose encouraging and good words over bad ones that harm people.

Du'a for grief and anxiety:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazan, wal-'ajzi wal-kasal, wal-jubni wal-bukhl, wa dala'id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijal
"O Allah! I seek refuge with You from worry and grief, from incapacity and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, from being heavily in debt and from being overpowered by (other) men."
When: Anxiety, dread, feeling stuck. The Prophet ﷺ recited this regularly. It covers almost every flavour of difficulty.

Sufficiency is rizq. Increase your barakah. Recite this du'a.
Allāhummak-finī biḥalālika `an ḥarāmik,
wa 'aghninī bi faḍlika `amman siwāk.
O Allah, suffice me with what You have allowed instead of what You have forbidden,
and make me independent of all others besides You.

When life gets too difficult, read this du'a.
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:286
"Lord, do not burden us with more than we have strength to bear. "
When: Everything at once. This one is for overwhelm.

There's a salawat that the gnostics called a key to the door of ease.
Salat al-Shaykh Ahmad al-Badawi
Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā nūri l-anwāri, wa-sirri l-asrāri, wa-tiryāqi l-aghyāri, wa-miftāḥi bābi l-yasāri, sayyidinā Muḥammadini l-mukhtāri, wa-ālihi l-aṭhāri, wa-aṣḥābihi l-akhyāri, ʿadada niʿami Llāhi wa-ifḍālih.
O Allah, send prayers upon the light of lights, the secret of secrets, the remedy against all that is other, the key to the door of ease, our master Muhammad, the Chosen One, and upon his pure family and his righteous companions, in the number of Allah’s blessings and favours.
Salat al-Badawi is a salawat attributed to the great saint Shaykh Ahmad al-Badawi. It praises the Prophet ﷺ through eight luminous titles — the light of all lights, the secret of secrets, the remedy against all distraction from Allah, and the key to ease — before sending blessings upon him, his family, and companions in the number of Allah's infinite blessings. Scholars and gnostics in the Sufi tradition have long prescribed it as a daily wird of 100 recitations, describing it as a tried formula for the relief of difficulties, the fulfilment of needs, and the opening of spiritual lights.

Beautiful Du'a When Your Patience is Tested
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:250
Rabbana afrigh 'alayna sabran wa thabbit aqdamana
"Our Lord, pour patience on us, make us stand firm,"
When: You feel like you're about to break, ask for your feet to be kept steady.

Salaam everyone,
We'd like to update you that your Qurban made it to Gaza. 🤍
From the careful slaughter of livestock in Egypt, to canning, to crossing the border, every step was taken with intention, care, and with you in mind.
Last week, volunteers from Sawaed Youth Centre went tent to tent, delivering your Qurban meat to displaced families who spent Eid far from home.
Children were fed. Families were nourished, and for a moment, in the middle of so much hardship, there was joy.
Alhamdulillah. This is what your generosity looks like.
We are deeply honoured to have been trusted with your Qurban, and we pray that Allah Almighty accepts it from you and your loved ones. May He reward you in ways only He can. 🤲

We are the most connected generation in history and somehow, the loneliest.
1400 years ago, the Prophet ﷺ had already prescribed the cure.
"If the Prophet ﷺ missed a man from amongst his brethren for three days, he would ask after him. If he was away, he would pray for him. If he was in town, he would go to him. And if he was sick, he would visit him."
(Abu Ya'la)
Three days. That was his threshold.
Just: "I noticed you were missing. And you matter enough for me to do something about it."
That is the Sunnah of presence.
So, who in your life has gone quiet recently? Who haven't you heard from in more than three days?
Maybe this is your sign to be the person who noticed. 🤍
