The Prophet ﷺ looked at three men and said something to each of them. The result: They all danced out of ecstacy. Imagine having to witness a tender moment of feeling seen, loved and appreciated by the Prophet ﷺ. To Sayyidina Ja'far (ra), he ﷺ said: "You resemble me both in appearance and in character." To Sayyidina Ali (ra), he ﷺ said: "You are of me, and I am of you." To Sayyidina Zayd (ra), he ﷺ said: "You are our brother and our liege." Upon hearing these words intentionally spoken by the beloved ﷺ, all three of them stood up. And danced around him out of pure ecstasy. The Prophet ﷺ looked on, smiled and did not rebuke them. [Al-Iraqi's Tahrij Al-Ihya'] This is what his words did to those who love him. They make hearts leap with joy. Send a Salawat to the beloved ﷺ. Let your heart love and feel him answering back. Allahumma salli 'ala Sayyidina Muhammad.

Maulidur Rasul is almost here. Something in our chest already knows it. Maybe it's longing or gratitude. Maybe it's the ache of loving someone you've never met. Yet someone you somehow can't imagine your life without. The day Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was born, the world changed. His presence was light that entered the world and never left it. He ﷺ came into an age that had forgotten its own humanity. Still, he did not arrive with power, but with mercy so vast and made for all of us. وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةًۭ لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ "It was only as a mercy that We sent you to all people." [Qur'an 21:107] So how do we mark this day in a way that reaches the heart? We begin where he taught us to begin. With Salawat. Sayyidina Anas bin Malik (ra) reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever sends salah upon me once, Allah will send salah upon him tenfold, and will erase ten sins from him, and will raise him ten degrees in status." — Sunan al-Nasa'i Ten. For every one. Let his name be on your lips all day. Then, we follow him in every way that we can. Because love wants to know the beloved. To walk the way they walked. To wake and sleep, their way. To see the world a little more the way they saw it. "If you love Allah, follow me, and Allah will love you." — Qur'an 3:31 And if you want to love him more deeply: learn his story. The Sirah is a living portrait of the most beloved of Allah ﷺ. Every story in it has the power to change something in us. May our hearts be made tender. May our love for him ﷺ be woven into how we speak, give and forgive. Allahumma salli 'ala Sayyidina Muhammad. Salaam Maulidur Rasul.

This is Salawat al-Munjiyat. The Prayer of Deliverance. اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَاةً تُنْجِينَا بِهَا مِنْ جَمِيعِ الْأَهْوَالِ وَالْآفَاتِ ❁ وَتَقْضِى لَنَا بِهَا جَمِيعَ الْحَاجَاتِ ❁ وَتُطَهِّرُنَا بِهَا مِنْ جَمِيعِ السَّيِّئَاتِ ❁ وَتَرْفَعُنَا بِهَا عِنْدَكَ أَعْلَى الدَّرَجَاتِ ❁ وَتُبَلِّغُنَا بِهَا أَقْصَى الْغَايَاتِ ❁ مِنْ جَمِيعِ الْخَيْرَاتِ ❁ فِي الْحَيَاةِ وَبَعْدَ الْمَمَاتِ ❁ Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā sayyidinā Muḥammadin ṣalātan tunjīnā bihā min jamīʿi l-ahwāli wa-l-āfāti, wa-taqḍī lanā bihā jamīʿi l-ḥājāti, wa-tuṭahhirunā bihā min jamīʿi s-sayyi’āti, wa-tarfaʿunā bihā ʿindaka aʿlā d-darajāti, wa-tuballighunā bihā aqṣā l-ghāyāti, min jamīʿi l-khayrāti, fī l-ḥayāti wa-baʿda l-mamāt. O Allah, send prayers upon our master Muhammad, a prayer through which You deliver us from all terrors and tribulations, and through which You fulfil for us every need, and through which You purify us from every sin, and through which You raise us to the highest ranks in Your presence, and through which You enable us to attain the furthest goals of every good, in this life and after death. Shaykh Musa al-Darir was aboard a ship when a violent storm struck. It was so fierce it was called "the Capsizer." In his sleep, the Prophet ﷺ appeared to him and said: "Tell the passengers to recite this prayer 1000 times." By the time they reached 300, the storm was gone. This salawat was passed down through Shaykh Musa al-Darir, and later included by Imam al-Jazuli in Dala'il al-Khayrat. It's one of the most beloved collections of salawat in the world. Scholars across centuries have guarded its deeper secrets, saying some gifts are only for those ready to receive them. Shaykh Hasan ibn Ali al-Aswani wrote: "Whoever recites this prayer 1000 times during a time of hardship, Allah Almighty will deliver him from it and enable him to attain his wishes." Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi said: "It is among the treasures of the Divine Throne." When to recite it: 💠 Facing hardship or danger → 300 times 💠 Seeking lawful provision → 500 times 💠 During difficulty or unexpected trial → 1000 times 💠 For any need, this world or the next → 1000 times at night Every group finds the number that opens the door for them. All of them have witnessed its blessings. One salawat. Every terror, every need, every sin, every rank... just recite. Begin today. You cannot love who you do not know. 🤲 Increase your salawat: in the car, after salah, before sleep. Let your tongue find him throughout the day. ✨ Attend a gathering: a mawlid, a Dala’il al-Khayrat session. Let yourself be moved. 🌿 Revive a sunnah: smile more. Eat with gratitude. Lower your voice. The small acts count. "A person will be with those whom he loves." — al-Bukhari & Muslim This month, choose who you want to be with. 💚

How did the Prophet ﷺ show his mercy with his companions? He didn't just ask them to be 'patient'. He wept with them. This is the mercy of our Prophet ﷺ. When the Prophet ﷺ saw any of his Companions in difficulty or misfortune, he was overcome with grief and compassion. He wept on their behalf. This wasn't sympathy from a distance, but rather a love so strong it made his blessed heart weep. He visited his companions: Sa'd ibn 'Ubada with 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Awf and others. When he saw Sa'd's condition, he began to weep. Naturally, everyone around him wept with him. His grief was contagious because it was real. When 'Uthman ibn Maz'un lay dying, the Prophet ﷺ leaned down and kissed him. Sayyidatina 'A'isha (ra) later described what she witnessed: "I saw the Prophet's ﷺ tears run down 'Uthman's cheek." Another narration says he kissed him between the eyes, and then wept a long while. This was neither a moment of courtesy nor a ritual of farewell. It was just pure, uncalculated love. This is who our Prophet ﷺ was. A man whose mercy extended to sitting beside the suffering, and letting his tears fall. "And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds." — Surah Al-Anbiya, 21:107"

5 Sirah Stories to Share with Your Child The Prophet ﷺ loves children so much, it showed in everything he did. Once, the Prophet ﷺ was leading prayer and planned to make it long. Then he heard a baby crying. So he made it short because he knew how worried a mother's heart would be. [Al-Bukhari & Muslim] The Prophet ﷺ kissed his grandsons Sayyidina al-Hasan and Sayyidina al-Husayn (ra) openly, in front of everyone. A man once said: ""I have children, and I have never kissed them!"" The Prophet ﷺ looked at him and said: ""Those who show no mercy will be shown no mercy."" [Al-Bukhari & Muslim] A kiss is not small, but mercy made visible. Al-Barra' (ra) saw the Prophet ﷺ carrying Sayyidina al-Hasan (ra) on his shoulder. He ﷺ said: "O Allah, I love him, so love him!" [Al-Bukhari, Muslim, At-Tirmidhi] He didn't just love his grandchildren quietly. He made du'a for them out loud. The Prophet ﷺ used to say to Sayyidatina Fatimah (ra): "Call my sons to me!" When Sayyidina Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn (ra) came, he would open his arms and embrace them. [At-Tirmidhi] He always made time for them. Always. When the first fruits of the harvest were brought to him, the Prophet ﷺ would place them on his eyes, then on his lips, and make du'a: "O Allah, as You have shown us the first of it, show us the last of it!" Then, he would give the fruits to the children who were there. [Al-Tabarani] They got the best first. This is the Prophet ﷺ who loved you before you even knew his name. Want to know him more? Before he was a Prophet, he was known as Al-Amin. The Trustworthy One. He served everyone around him. Long before revelation came, the people of Makkah trusted Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Not just his family and closest companions. Everyone. He was honest in his dealings and reliable in his word. He was a man his whole community could count on. Being a good citizen isn't separate from our faith. It is part of faith. The Prophet ﷺ taught us that our character should be felt by everyone we live alongside. That means our neighbours, colleagues, and even strangers. As Singapore turns another year older, we are reminded that the Muslim community has always had a role to play here. Not despite our faith, but because of it. Show up with integrity. Be the neighbour they can count on. Be the colleague who is trusted. This is the Sunnah of Al-Amin ﷺ lived out, right here, in this land. As we approach our beloved national day, let us take pride in and be grateful for this land we call home. Everything you do today can count as worship. By doing this one secret action. The very first hadith in Imam al-Nawawi's collection begins with intention. "Actions are but by intentions, and every person will have only what they intended." — Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim) It wasn't placed first by accident. Intention is the foundation of everything you do in life. Think about the last meal you prepared. The last errand you ran. The last message you sent. Were you present or were you just going through the motions? The same action, done with intention, becomes something else entirely. The secret: Recite Bismillah and mean it. بِسْمِ اللهِ "In the name of Allah." Reciting this is a deliberate turning of the heart toward Allah Almighty before you begin. Even for the mundane things. Especially for the mundane things. When you do something for Allah Almighty, your entire perspective shifts. Your speech becomes more careful. Your thoughts more present. Your hands more gentle. A good intention doesn't just change why you act, but how you act. Washing the dishes becomes gratitude. Driving to work becomes trust. Saying good morning becomes generosity.
