1. MCQs: 1 mark or 2 marks (depending on the question)

*GATE Score Calculation:*
GATE score = (Number of correct answers x Marks per question) - (Number of incorrect answers x Negative marking) + (Number of unattempted questions x 0)
*GATE Score Normalization:*
GATE scores will be normalized to ensure fairness across different sessions and branches.
*GATE Result:*
The result will be declared in terms of:
1. GATE Score (out of 1000)
2. All India Rank (AIR)

*GATE Cutoff:*
Cutoff marks will be announced separately for each branch and category.
