Hello everyone!! I’ve decided to speak up about the recent SEUNGHAN situation again!
Today, SM released a statement on SEUNGHAN’s debut as a soloist in the second half of the year. Although this may seem like we have won, this in fact might not be as good as it seems.
First, SM has absolutely no plans on his debut yet and announcing a debut almost a year early is insane. They’re clearly doing this because they have to address the boycott situation.
The boycott has worked extremely well, with RIIZE’s brand reputation dropping from top 10 to 30+, losing followers on every single social media platform, and also SM’s stocks dropping by ~73% in the third quarter of 2024.
A lot of people have started to support SEUNGHAN and his solo career already, but this is not what we wanted. All of the members of RIIZE wanted SEUNGHAN back, and so did we.
If SM is able to let SEUNGHAN debut again as a soloist, why not just return him to his group? Clearly something isn't clicking. SM has failed to protect their artist and nothing has been done about the flower wreaths yet. There have been people saying that SEUNGHAN would be better off as a soloist due to OT6. However, we need to realise that OT6 will go out of their way to try and ruin SEUNGHAN even if he debuts as a soloist.
What I believe is happening is that SM will try and milk all of the money and profits they can from SEUNGHAN’s debut before sending him back to the basement. SM will not promote him after a while and SEUNGHAN will not be able to continue his career.
We need to boycott even harder at this stage. SM is trying to shut us up and we will not let that happen. If OT6 can make SM change their minds in 2 days, then OT7 BRIIZE can definitely bring justice to SEUNGHAN.
Let me remind everyone that SEUNGHAN’s dream was and will always be RIIZE.
