Dr. Reza Moradi, MD is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist and founder of @eyeconicmedical in Newport Beach, California, specializing in cataract, cornea, and refractive surgery. He completed advanced training at Tufts New England Eye Center and holds prior training from Johns Hopkins and Mount Sinai. Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Moradi is the founder of the Young Entrepreneurs Club (YEC) for Iranian-Americans in Southern California, where he fosters networking and collaboration among talented professionals. He has mentored students at UCSF, UCLA, UC Davis, and other institutions, and actively teaches optometry students at the Southern California College of Optometry. His work bridges medicine, education, and community leadership.

Pedram Mehraram is a Senior Technical Product Manager at Amazon, where he leads large scale forecasting initiatives within the Ads division. With a multidisciplinary background spanning engineering, venture capital, and AI product development, Pedram brings a systems thinking approach to solving complex business problems. He previously helped shape global strategies at Amazon Prime Video and has worked across domains including adtech, machine learning, and consumer products. Pedram holds an MBA from the University of Toronto and a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Waterloo. He actively mentors aspiring product managers on navigating careers in Big Tech, transitioning into product roles, and building high impact products with clarity and empathy.

Rata Rokhshad is a first-year pediatric dentistry resident in California. She earned her dental degree in Iran and later moved to the U.S., where she worked as a researcher for over a year and a half before starting her residency. She has authored more than 25 publications, with a primary focus on the application of artificial intelligence in dentistry. Passionate about mentorship, Rata has guided over 30 dentists through dental school applications and research projects.

Meet your mentors Dr. Kiana Aran is a biomedical engineer and entrepreneur known for inventing the CRISPR-Chip, a revolutionary diagnostic tool that combines CRISPR technology with graphene transistors to detect genetic mutations electronically. She earned her PhD from Rutgers University and completed postdoctoral work at UC Berkeley. Dr. Aran is an Associate Professor at UC San Diego and co-founder of Cardea Bio and CRISPR QC. Her work focuses on developing next-generation biosensors for precision medicine and healthy aging. She has received numerous honors, including the Nature Research Award for Inspiring Women in Science and is a Senior Member of the National Academy of Inventors.

Meet your mentors Maryam Etminan, DBA Founder & CEO of Globali.ai As the Founder and CEO of Globali.ai, Maryam is building the first AI agentic immigration platforms designed to automate immigration for individuals, lawyers and organizations worldwide. With a strong foundation in both technical and business fields, she holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Physics, along with a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA). To deepen her knowledge and strengthen her approach, she also pursued advanced studies in entrepreneurship at Stanford University.

Meet your mentors Dr. Ryan Alimo is a machine learning scientist, entrepreneur, and former NASA JPL engineer. Originally from Iran, he excelled in astronomy Olympiads before earning his Ph.D. in computational science from UC San Diego. At NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, he led AI and machine learning initiatives for the Perseverance rover and Ingenuity helicopter, advancing autonomous navigation and data processing systems. In 2018, he co-founded OpalAi, where he now serves as CEO, pioneering spatial intelligence solutions that convert LiDAR and camera data into real-time 3D building models. His work bridges cutting-edge AI, robotics, and earth science applications, including NASA’s recent FireGPT project for wildfire resilience. Dr. Alimo continues to drive innovation at the intersection of space tech, smart infrastructure, and AI.

Meet your mentors Ashkan Anvari, DBA CEO of WebGenius California Entrepreneur & Business Strategist Ashkan Anvari is the founder and CEO of Web Genius California , a company specializing in digital marketing and online business development across the United States and Canada since 2016. He has successfully launched and sold multiple online businesses and has helped numerous companies grow and increase their revenue through strategic consulting and digital solutions. With deep expertise and passion in SEO and AI, he has recently expanded his services to include Google AI Overview integration alongside other digital offerings. He is also the founder of a business club (California Rich Club)that provides a platform for investors and entrepreneurs to launch and invest in scalable online ventures. He is the author of the book “SEO Meets AI,”

Meet your mentors: #Startup #manufacturing Amir Mansouri, is a Los Angeles-based entrepreneur and the CEO and Co-founder of SprintRay, a leading company in digital dentistry. Amir has raised over $200 million in funding and under his leadership, SprintRay was named #5 on Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies in MedTech and has revolutionized same-day dental care through 3D printing. Amir holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from USC, was named an E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year in 2025 and was recognized as one of the Top 30 Most Influential People in Dentistry. 

Meet your mentors: #Engineering Amir Zavichi, Ph.D., P.E., CCM, is a seasoned construction manager, educator, and partner at Amia Engineering Management. He currently serves as a Senior Construction Manager at the Port of Los Angeles, leading major infrastructure projects. With a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and a certificate in Applied Operations Research from the University of Central Florida, Dr. Zavichi is also a Certified Professional Engineer and Certified Construction Manager. He teaches at UCLA Extension and UC Davis, focusing on lean construction, AI in AEC, and project delivery. A published researcher and industry speaker, he actively promotes innovation and efficiency across the AEC sector and engages with the professional community through his podcast “Modirsakht” and leadership roles in organizations like CMAA and the Iranian‑American Engineers & Architects.

Meet your mentors #Engineering_Leadership Elham Moore is an engineer and the President & CEO of KCIS (Keep Children in School), a nonprofit dedicated to supporting education for underserved children.  With a Ph.D. in Earthquake Engineering from UCLA and a Master’s from USC, Elham has worked at the intersection of engineering and social impact for over a decade. Her work bridges technical innovation with community-driven change, from designing resilient infrastructure to building educational access through global partnerships. She brings a unique perspective to engineering leadership, especially as a woman navigating both STEM and nonprofit spheres.
