Twin Paradox
In physics, the twin paradox is a thought experiment in special relativity involving identical twins, one of whom makes a journey into space in a high-speed rocket and returns home to find that the twin who remained on Earth has aged more.

Grandfather paradox
The consistency paradox or grandfather paradox occurs when the past is changed in any way, thus creating a contradiction. A common example given is traveling to the past and intervening with the conception of one's ancestors (such as causing the death of the parent beforehand), thus affecting the conception of oneself. If the time traveler were not born, then it would not be possible for them to undertake such an act in the first place. Therefore, the ancestor lives to offspring the time traveler's next-generation ancestor, and eventually the time traveler. There is thus no predicted outcome to this. Consistency paradoxes occur whenever changing the past is possible. A possible resolution is that a time traveller can do anything that did happen, but cannot do anything that did not happen. Doing something that did not happen results in a contradiction.

Solar Flare
A solar flare is a relatively intense, localized emission of electromagnetic radiation in the Sun's atmosphere. Flares occur in active regions and are often, but not always, accompanied by coronal mass ejections, solar particle events, and other eruptive solar phenomena. The occurrence of solar flares varies with the 11-year solar cycle. Solar flares are thought to occur when stored magnetic energy in the Sun's atmosphere accelerates charged particles in the surrounding plasma. This results in the emission of electromagnetic radiation across the electromagnetic spectrum.

Hot ice is a thing!
About 33 light-years away is an exoplanet called Gliese 436 b. The planet is composed of different water elements, which form burning ice. In other words, the ice on the planet remains solid due to pressure, while the extreme surface temperature of 570° F (300° C) super-heats the water, causing it to come off as steam. Imagine putting ice in your coffee to heat it up!

Midnight Planetarium
The clock shows the exact position of the planets in the solar system. Planets move at the same speed as real planets, and the hands of the stars mark hours and minutes.
It is called the "Planetary Midnight". It costs a little over $210,000.
The Midnight Planetarium watch depicts the universe and captures the course of the planets. The planetary spectacle is portrayed by the dial, while the shooting star indicates the time.
A lucky star invites the wearer of the watch to register their lucky day on the starry dial.
The dial reproduces the sun in miniature, accompanied by the five planets visible to the naked eye from Earth: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn.
A unique module makes each planet move on its own disk, according to its actual rotation time.

Sir Isaac Newton, the renowned physicist, invented the cat door. Legend has it that while conducting experiments in a dark room, he had a pet cat named Spithead. Newton didn't want Spithead to disturb his work by scratching at the door, so he supposedly cut a small hole for the cat to come and go freely. While this story might be more anecdotal than historically accurate, it adds a humorous touch to the image of the brilliant scientist accommodating his feline friend.

Dichotomy paradox
Zeno's Dichotomy paradox is a philosophical concept that questions the nature of motion and change. It is based on the idea that in order to reach a destination, one must first travel half the distance, then half of the remaining distance, and so on, leading to an infinite series of smaller and smaller distances. This paradox suggests that motion is an illusion and that everything is actually static. However, it has been largely resolved through mathematical concepts such as calculus and limits.

The Ghost Particles
Neutrinos are among the most abundant particles in the Universe, and yet are hard to detect. They're similar to electrons, but they have no electrical charge and their mass is almost zero, so they interact very little with normal matter as they stream through the Universe at near light-speed. Billions of neutrinos are zipping through your body right now. Hence, they are also called "ghost particles."

🔴Tesla’s Wireless Power Experiments
In the late 19th century, Tesla’s work on the tower explored electrical transmission using radio frequency resonance to create electrical energy through two coils to generate high voltage, high frequency currents. His experiments used near-field inductive and capacitive couplings. Near-field inductive is a short-range wireless physical layer that transmits a low power, non-propagating magnetic field between devices. Capacitive couplings transmit power between two networks by displacing currents produced by the electrical fields.
Tesla performed demonstrations in front of crowds showing how incandescent bulbs could be lit wireless when in proximity of the coil. As his research progressed, he tested long distance transmission using LC circuits.
Tesla furthered his studies to develop a long-distance transmission method at a high-altitude location in Colorado Springs. His theory was that low-pressure air present at 30,000 feet would allow electrical transmission to travel much longer distances. He speculated he could use the entire planet to conduct electricity by sending alternating current pulses into the ground. Our history books to date do not reflect he had any success in proving this theory.
He did, however, accurately predict the success of the internet and cellular phones both operating by long distance, wireless transmissions. He believed wireless transmission could solve a myriad of global issues by providing a means of instant communication, “a great step will be made toward the unification and harmonious existence of the various races inhabiting the globe.”

🔴Nikola Tesla was born during a lightning storm
It's quite fitting that Tesla, the man whose research revolved around electricity was born during a lightning storm. Tesla was born around midnight between July 9 and July 10, 1856 in the Austrian empire. Legend has it that the midwife who was assisting Tesla's mother openly declared that the lightning was a bad omen and that Tesla would be child of darkness. On this, his mother said, "No, he will be child of the light"
🔴Tesla worked for Thomas Edison, and later became his competitor
Thomas Edison was a prolific American inventor. After Nikola Tesla arrived in the US, he worked as an assistant to Edison. However, he quit later to pursue his own project. Edison worked on direct current while Tesla worked on alternating current. This pitted both of them on either sides of 'current war'.
Though they were competitors, they were not enemies. There was mutual respect. Once when Edison attended a speech given by Tesla, the latter led the audience in giving a standing ovation to Edison.
When there were fires at Tesla's lab. Edison arranged for a lab for Tesla to continue his work.
🔴 Tesla developed the idea for smartphone technology
Tesla was ahead of his time. Once, he pitched an idea to his funder JP Morgan that involved encoding messages and broadcasting each of them on a specific frequency which then be received in a handheld device. The idea was instrumental in later research to develop smartphones.
🔴Tesla scared Mark Twain
Residents living near Tesla's laboratory often said that he had an 'earthquake machine' that could shake the entire block. The machine was actually a high-frequency oscillator. Tesla once invited Mark Twain, the famous writer, to his lab and made him stand on a platform that was connected with the oscillator.
Mark Twain had digestive problems. The platform shook so violently that it scared Twain into jumping off it and running for toilet facilities.

Tesla was known to be an eccentric genius. He hated pearls for some reason. His hate was so strong that he refused to talk with women who wore pearls. His secretary came to the lab wearing pearls one day. Tesla sent her home
A tunnel diode or Esaki diode is a type of semiconductor diode that has effectively "negative resistance" due to the quantum mechanical effect called tunneling. It was invented in August 1957 by Leo Esaki, Yuriko Kurose, and Takashi Suzuki when they were working at Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo, now known as Sony. In 1973, Esaki received the Nobel Prize in Physics, jointly with Brian Josephson, for discovering the electron tunneling effect used in these diodes. Robert Noyce independently devised the idea of a tunnel diode while working for William Shockley, but was discouraged from pursuing it. Tunnel diodes were first manufactured by Sony in 1957, followed by General Electric and other companies from about 1960, and are still made in low volume today.
Tryptophan, An Amino Acid Essential For Life, Has Been Found In Interstellar Space
◉Tryptophan is one of the 20 amino acids considered essential for the formation of proteins, which are key macromolecules for the development of life on Earth.
◉The data took into account from many regions of star and planet formation, but it was in one of the nearest and best known regions, the molecular cloud complex in Perseus, and in particular in the stellar system IC 348 where the combination of all the spectroscopic data from the satellite has allowed us to attain the máximum sensitivity and to identify lines which tryptophan produces in the laboratory.
◉The study also presents evidence that tryptophan-associated emission lines may also be present in other star-forming regions and suggests that its presence, and possibly that of other amino acids, is common in the gas from which stars and planets form. “It is likely that amino acids, the building blocks of proteins, may be enriching the gas in the protoplanetary discs and atmospheres of young, newly formed exoplanets and perhaps accelerating the emergence of life there” says Iglesias-Groth.
