Maximised the car today and not much else we could’ve done out there. Many positives to take from this weekend overall but still a lot of work to do. Now time for a bit of time off to recharge the batteries 🌴 🏖️ see you in Zandvoort!

“We had a good start once again, we were almost in the points positions, which was very good, but we can’t keep the cars behind. We are in fact not quick enough unfortunately to keep them behind. The tires degraded quite a lot as well, so we need to look at putting more performance on the car. We need to look at the next upgrades and hope that they’ll make a difference – the team will be on it. There’s a lot of positives to take away from this weekend on my side, I’m quite happy we were able to extract the maximum out of the car and that we got the consistency from Friday through to Sunday, now we just need more performance.”

“I’m very happy with the work we’ve done this weekend. We didn’t run into any strange issues with straight-line speed, rear downforce or weird front downforce which we’ve seen in the past – the car stayed consistent. The team did a great job taking the car apart on Friday night and putting it back to the same that it was. We could build from FP1 and have a normal weekend, fine-tuning here and there, and it’s very satisfying for all of us to have extracted the maximum from the package today. There’s nothing more we could have done in terms of positioning, we’re half a second away from the car in front, so there’s no way we could’ve done that. Now we’ll look to the next step, which is to bring more performance to the car – so we’ll see if we can do that in the near future. We’ll take today as a satisfaction for my side of the garage, and for the whole team it’s good confidence, so we need to build on that.”

“It’s been a much better Friday compared to what we had in Spa, the car felt much better. Lately, we’ve had a lot of difficulties, but we didn’t face any today, so it’s been very positive. There’s a lot of things that we had on the car that we’ve been waiting a long time for. It’s only Friday, so we need to keep that for tomorrow, as we know things can change from one day to another, so we’ll try and keep what we have today. Hopefully it’ll be a similar level of happiness and performance tomorrow. For me, it’s been the best Friday for a long time.”
