Vertigo effect "dolly zoom"

There was a time when Hollywood produced masterpiece after masterpiece. Vertigo was, and still is, a masterpiece. Not only does it feature some of the best shots in 1950s cinema, but it also introduced a groundbreaking innovation in filmmaking known as the "dolly zoom." Vertigo is one of my all-time favorite movies. The story follows a cop who is hired by a man to undertake a bizarre task: spy on his wife. The man claims that his wife has been acting strangely, as if possessed by a ghost, and he's worried about her. So, he hires the cop to follow her, observe where she goes, what she does, and how she behaves. If you enjoy mystery and the charm of vintage America, this film is perfect for you.
