In the first half of this year, global cryptocurrency market holdings grew significantly, with the number of holders rising by 6.4% to 617 million from 580 million at the end of 2023. This growth was driven primarily by key developments in Bitcoin and Ethereum, particularly the introduction of spot ETH linked to these assets. Bitcoin continues to lead the market, with its holders increasing by 5.9% to 314 million, representing 51% of all cryptocurrency holders.
