The attacker behind the Kelp breach has begun moving stolen funds. On April 21, the hacker swapped around $1.5 million worth of Ethereum for Bitcoin using THORChain, and an additional $78,000 via the Umbra protocol, according to on-chain investigator ZachXBT.
Security firm PeckShield tracked transactions totaling $176 million flowing through THORChain, Umbra, Chainflip, and BitTorrent.
Analyst EmberCN reported that after funds were frozen on Arbitrum, the hacker pulled roughly 75,700 ETH—worth about $175 million—from the Ethereum network.
