Last week, I asked my friend to try shadowing.tech . She opened it, looked at the screen for a few seconds… and didn’t know where to start. 😂
That made me realise: if she didn’t understand how to use it, maybe others don’t either.
So, I made a short video showing how to use it step by step. We’ve also updated the website and added a new homepage.

Not think → “sink”
Not this → “zis”
Don’t let your students replace th with s and z thinking that it’s difficult for them to pronounce.
It’s not.
When a student learns the correct pronunciation from the start, it becomes a habit, not something they have to consciously correct years later.
And I know this from my own experience.
When I first started learning English, I also pronounced words incorrectly. Later, when I became more aware of pronunciation, I had to relearn how to produce certain sounds correctly. And it took me months.
That’s exactly why I believe it’s so important to give students the right pronunciation model from the very beginning.
And of course, this also means that teachers have to work on their own pronunciation first.
Because beginners learn by imitation.
So, when you hear your students replacing th with s and z,
