قال أبو الدرداء - رضي الله عنه -: ‏إذا أصبح الرجل: ‏اجتمع هواه وعقله، ‏فإن كان عقله تبعًا لهواه فيومه يوم سوء، ‏وإن كان هواه تبعًا لعقله فيومُه يومٌ صالح. ‏📙روضة المحبين ١/٦٣٩ — ابن القيم Abū Dardā (may Allāh be pleased with him) said: “If a man reaches the morning, his desires and intellect come together. So if his intellect complies with his desires, his day will be a bad day. And if his desires comply with his intellect, his day will be a good day”. قال الإمام ابن الجوزي - رحمه الله -: ‏فإذا جاء إبليس؛ فقال: كَم تدعوهُ ولا ترى ‏إجابة!؛ فقُل: أنا أتعبّدُ بالدُّعاء. ‏صيد الخاطر (ص222) Al-Imām Ibn Al-Jawzī rahimahullāh said: “If Iblīs comes and says how many times have you supplicated to Him (Allāh ﷻ) and have not seen a response?
