A moment of reflection took me back to: Friday: 01/11/13 - 27/12/34 The last day our brother Abū Mu’āwiyah Mustafa Al-Amrīkī rahimahullāh was seen alive. This was the third of three days where the Houthi rebels intensified their attack on Dār Al-Hadīth, Dammāj. I remember this day and the two before it very well. What I remember about this Friday was getting ready for Jumu’ah (which was being prayed in the basement of the masjid). As I and a few brothers were making our way to the basement of the masjid via the masjid, we came under attack. This was the first day I recall the masjid being hit. A few brothers were injured and we had to seek shelter. After Jumu’ah, brothers were gathering in groups and being dispatched to different stations. From the brothers who I saw in amongst the first group being dispatched, was our dear brother Mustafa rahimahullāh, a beautiful brother and caller to Allāh. He was someone who sacrificed his life for the sake of Allāh, calling to His religion and eventually died defending it, after being guided to Islām. He was killed under circumstances where his body could not be retrieved until we evacuated dammaj, some 3 months after the day he was killed. I will always remember the last conversation I had with him. May Allāh grant him Al-Firdaws, elevate his rank and make him from the martyrs. It is upon us who knew such brothers to share the khayr they left behind and to mention their good qualities. Written by: Mustafa Yusuf 01/05/46 - 01/11/24 https://t.me/Gardensofknowledge

2 / 473 Shaykh Muqbil bin Hādī Al-Wādi’ī, may Allāh have mercy on him, said: “It is necessary that we choose righteous companions. Those who assist one another upon goodness”. (Ghāratul Ashritah, 2/473) https://t.me/Gardensofknowledge

📚 فتاوى نور على الدرب "225" ‏Shaykh Muhammad bin Sālih Al-‘Uthaymīn rahimahullāh said: ‏“Whoever waits for relief will be rewarded for that waiting. ‏This is because waiting for relief is (from) having good thoughts of Allāh and having good thoughts of Allāh is a righteous action for which a person will be rewarded”. ‏(Fatāwā Nūr ‘Alā Ad-Darb, 225) https://t.me/Gardensofknowledge

‏- البداية والنهاية ( ١٧/٣) Luqmān (Al-Hakīm) said to his son: “My son, take obedience to Allāh as trade. Profits will come to you without any merchandise”. Al-Bidāyah Wan-Nihāyah (3/17)

Piety of the parents benefits the children. ﴾ [الكهف ٨٢] “And as for the wall, it belonged to two orphan boys in the town; and there was under it a treasure belonging to them; and their father was a righteous man…” (18:82). Ibn Kathīr rahimahullāh mentions in his tafsīr regarding Allāh’s statement: (“And their father was a righteous man”). “This indicates that a righteous person’s offspring will be taken care of, and that the blessing of his worship will extend to them in this world and in the Hereafter. This will occur through his intercession for them, as well as their status being raised to the highest levels of Paradise, so that he may find joy in them. This was stated in the Qurān and reported in the Sunnah. Sa’īd bin Jubayr rahimahullāh narrated from Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allāh be pleased with him and his father): "They were taken care of because their father was a righteous man, although it is not stated that they themselves were righteous.'' Ibn Kathīr rahimahullāh also mentions that this righteous man was from the forefathers of these orphans, stating that it was their 5th great grandfather, it has also been stated that it was their 8th great grandfather. This shows that the blessings of a righteous person’s worship can extend to future generations and that if he doesn’t see the good in his own children then it could be that Allāh brings out from his progeny righteous people who benefit him well after he has departed from the dunyā. Al-Baghawī rahimahullāh mentions in his tafsīr that Sa’īd bin Al-Musayyib rahimahullāh said: “I pray and remember my son and increase my prayers”. In addition to that which has been mentioned, it is of great importance that a parent supplicates for his children. The messenger of Allāh ﷺ informed us that supplication of the parent for his child is accepted. “There are three supplications that will undoubtedly be answered: the supplication of one who has been oppressed, the supplication of the traveller and the supplication of a father for his child." (Abū Dāwūd (1536), At-Tirmidhī (1905) Ibn Mājah (3862) and graded hasan by Al-Albānī rahimahullāh in Sahīh Ibn Mājah 3129). It is also of great importance that we educate, cultivate and leave a lasting legacy behind for them to have as a foundation to establish their lives upon. When he said unto his sons, “What will you worship after me?” They said, “We shall worship your Ilāh, the Ilāh of your fathers, Ibrāhīm, Ismā’īl and Ishāq, One Ilāh and to Him we submit (in Islam).” (2:133). https://t.me/Gardensofknowledge
