When our community in the PNW was in need with a loss of one of our own, Dave Martel was there to help. We wish to return the same generosity as Dave gave to our community a continent away.
Dave Martel's family is going through a very challenging health issue that may devastate their family. While they go through these hard times, we ask our kinfolk to do what they can to help out. Dave is a good man and a strong voice for heathens and our community, and we need to show that we help our own when in need. Let your deeds ring out in support of this great family!

With everyone's efforts, we have so far raised $3700 (at last check). While this is a good start, there is still a lot of work that needs to be accomplished.
We have already disbursed $3370 to the family for immediate financial relief. Future disburstments will occur monthly. The family has expressed their gratitude for all of the help, and we extend that gratitude to all of you.
This fund raiser is far from finished as we intend to keep this donation pool indefinitely open to help with the care and support of Samantha's son for the foreseeable future. This will be a living memorial to Samantha, and part of the legacy she leaves to her son. | 1 806 |

Samantha was a warrior in life, a mother, a daughter, and our sister! She is loved by many!

Samantha was born in 1991 and passed at the young age of 33. She is survived by her 9 yearold son and many family and friends who love her!

| 11 | A MESSAGE FROM PNNWP GOTHAR COUNCIL
We are honored to have among our number many people who have gone through great trials and suffered many hardships. The diverse history of our congregation affords us the opportunity to see the world from a diverse perspective. Our past does not define our future. That being said, hardships and mistakes give us many opportunities for growth and development. We know that a natural part of life is making mistakes. The only way to honor ourselves and our communities is to make right our wrongs and build forward. We believe that we must earn forgiveness through action.
We are made up of individuals from all walks of life. The PNWWP has strict codes of conduct by which our membership must abide by as active members of our community. We adhere to the beliefs and traditions of our ancestors.
As spiritual leaders of our faith, we recognize that individuals in our society often come from diverse paths with histories that are not always pleasant. We believe that everyones situation is unique and there are many contributing factors that have resulted in creating wreckage. For some, this is a direct result of children not being raised in healthy family environments. Some were raised in traditional and wholesome families and rebelled against that model only to realize what they walked away from when it seemed too late. We recognize that much of modern society is sick and dying. Brother is pit against brother and father against son. Morals and virtues that have been honored and valued since time immemorial are now cast aside for immediate gratification and quick fixes.
Nothing of value is got without effort. For those who have not had the opportunity to learn moral values important for navigating the world around us, we are here to guide you to the lore left to us by our ancestors. We realize the devastation and degeneration that permeates in our society. Substance use and mental illness often result in single parent homes or foster care systems. Those growing into adulthood in these environments often are left without experiencing the essential bonds of family. Many people grow up without guidance or direction or the wrong guidance, resulting in incarceration. Without the tools or resources necessary to grow into healthy men and women making positive choices, sometimes the wrong choices are made.
As a part of PNWWP's effort to build healthy communities, we facilitate mentoring and working together among our communities to build each other up. those who seek our spiritual path are able to heal and become whole through the living tradition of our ancestral faith. We are obligated and duty bound to create a space conducive to building healthy families. we know through community that we can break the cycle of destruction that has hurt so many among our folk in the broader communities that surround us.
While we believe men and women from among our folk deserve a path forward, one where they can stand in our circles with honor, we also recognize that there are certain acts to which we believe to be unredeemable. The safety of our sacred community must be protected above all else. We exclude all men and women whoΒ have committed acts resulting in harm toward women, children, and vulnerable populations. Some examples are child molesters, sex offenders, abusers of both women and children. Those who would abuse and victimize the most precious among us will never share the same path that we at the PNWWP walk.
Our duty to our gods demands that we work towards helping others heal, become whole, and connect to the tradition that we follow. This is our responsibility to our folk and our ancestors who forged the very paths we walk upon today. Our obligation to our families is inherently the honor of each of us individually. 1) We believe in the gods and goddesses of the Northern European Pantheons, i.e., Norse, Anglo-Saxon, Teutonic, etc. Our belief is polytheistic, Pan-Teutonic, and unique to the descendants of Ask and Embla.
2) We believe we are direct descendants of our gods and goddesses.
3) We believe that family shares the hamingja (soul) of their forefathers. Hamingja has been passed down from generation to generation for as long as the folk have existed. The family unit is the foundation that has always held clans, kindreds, and tribes together. There is no separation of family and religion in our way. They are both one and the same!
4) We believe in natural law and the force of Wyrd (fate), which permeates all of existence.
5) We believe there exists malevolent and intelligent forces of chaos and order; creative/destructive forces and beings that may cause ill or bring good to us individually and collectively.
6) We believe it is our duty to preserve our ancient folk soul, which is expressed in our beliefs, practice, tradition, and culture. As a Kirke (church), we only promote that which is good and brings benefit to our families and the broader folk.
7) We believe in the natural cycle of life and death, that it is perpetual and transcendent.
8) We believe that diversity is a part of the natural order and should be protected as well as promoted. We recognize that diversity requires uniqueness and traits that differentiate one thing from another (e.g., lion vs. tiger, rose vs. dandelion, etc.). We promote our diversity by celebrating, encouraging, and venerating our own natural expressions of our beliefs through our rituals, traditions, ancestral heritage, and culture.
9) We believe we have a right to happiness, strength, strong community (frith and grith), strong friends, and security.
10) We believe in the virtue of correct action and the honor of one's words. We strive against those things that are contrary to our moral codes.
11) We believe that our Orlog is affected by our success or failure. Our success and failure are determined by how closely we are able to follow our most important virtues.Β When we are in the right, we believe that Orlog itself will shape the Wyrd of the universe.
*Orlog: fate set in motion by the events of our own lives, which are set in motion by our ancestor's lives
*Wyrd: mystical web of energy that connects all things in the world, following the rules of the Norns and of each personβs Orlog
12) We believe in living our lives forthrightly. We do not believe in hiding who we are. We are mighty men and women descended from Ask and Embla, gifted life and all that comes with it from our gods. We choose to openly practice our religion as close as is possible to how our folk have practiced since time immemorial.
13) We believe that by performing sacred and ancient rituals, such as blot, it is an exchange of energy between our gods and our folk; and is one of many ways to communicate with our ancestors and gods.
14) We believe it is necessary to restore the authentic practice of our faith to the broader folk in its truest form. | 503 |
