NUST MISIS Students Go to China 🇷🇺🇨🇳 On July 12, the international internship program for students of NUST MISIS College of Economics started at Anhui University of Finance and Economics. Based on the results of a competitive selection process, 25 students were given this opportunity. The program includes lectures from market practitioners, visits to high-tech enterprises in China, and live dialogue with international experts and business community representatives. The students will also get acquainted with the culture of China, such as tea ceremonies and core principles of business etiquette.

NUST MISIS Signs Cooperation Agreement with Kenya’s Moi University 🇰🇪 Professor Kiplagat Kotut, Vice-Chancellor of Moi University, and Masamba Kah, Head of NUST MISIS’s Industrial and Educational Partnership Project with African Countries, held a working meeting during which they signed a cooperation agreement aimed at launching academic mobility programs and jointly training specialists for Kenya’s industrial sector. Applicants often ask us about dormitories. Let's answer the most common questions 👀 🔹 Any international full-time student of NUST MISIS can get a dormitory place, regardless of their funding source (state-funded or fee-paying). But don't forget to indicate that you need a dormitory when applying. 🔹 You can't choose a specific dormitory: before the admissions campaign starts, information on the distribution of places between different colleges is published on the website. 🔹 The dormitories are secured premises, i.e. only residents can enter the buildings. However, you can watch our video tours, where we show what the buildings look like inside. 🔹 After enrollment is completed, we will publish lists showing the distribution of first-year students across the buildings. Expanding New Horizons 🌎 NUST MISIS and North China University of Technology (NCUT) have signed a memorandum aimed at developing cooperation in the fields of education and research. The meeting was held at our campus. During the visit, the guests toured research laboratories and centers, and engaged in discussions with our scientists. The second International Summer School, "Gateway to Russian Science, Culture & Innovation", was held at NUST MISIS for students from the University of Hong Kong, one of the world's leading research and educational centers, ranked 1st among Asian universities and 11th in the global QS World University Rankings. Participants represented various academic areas, which ensured the interdisciplinary nature of the School. The students visited the leading R&D laboratories of NUST MISIS and saw the top-notch projects of our scientists. For many, this was their first visit to Russia, that's why the School's rich and intensive program included educational modules on the history of our country and intercultural communication. The students also visited famous places: Gorky Central Park, Muzeon Art Park, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, and others. Our university has a long history of fruitful cooperation with Chinese educational organizations. For decades, NUST MISIS has been training engineers and scientists, many of whom make significant contributions to the development of China. Today, we collaborate with China's largest universities, develop educational programs and conduct joint research. The International Summer School has become another milestone in the development of the partnership between NUST MISIS and the University of Hong Kong. Such events enable young people to build lasting professional and personal connections, which will later serve as a foundation for joint research and educational projects. Scientists Find Way to “Program” Metal Behavior During 3D Printing 🦾 Russian researchers have discovered that laser 3D-printing parameters can directly influence the properties of a nickel—titanium shape memory alloy. The scientists demonstrated that by adjusting laser power and scanning speed, it is possible to “program” the material’s behavior in advance, including the temperature at which it recovers its shape and the degree of its elasticity. The findings open new opportunities for the development of advanced medical implants, miniature actuators, and components for 4D printing. ↗️Read more

Scientists Taught Magnetic Nanoparticles to Remove Dyes from Water💧 Researchers at NUST MISIS have synthesized mesoporous cobalt ferrite nanoparticles capable of absorbing different organic dyes depending on the size of their pores. The development opens up new possibilities for treating industrial wastewater without the need for additional chemical modification of the sorbent. The most important date for all graduates this year is July 1 💫 On this day, the “World of MISIS — That's Us!” festival will take place at MISIS University. Here's what's on the program: — diploma presentation; — congratulations from the university administration and friends of the university; — activities; — a concert program and a disco. 💃 🕺 If you love dancing, you can join the collective graduation dance. To participate, you need to register via the special form by June 12 and attend rehearsals regularly. You can join on your own or with a partner. We will share all updates and details about the celebration on the website and through our social media channels. 🙏🏻 Please note: if you are planning to bring guests, they will need to register in advance and bring their passports with them.

Important announcement for graduates 2026❗️ This year, diplomas will be issued in Student Office on weekdays from 10:00 to 17:00, on Saturday 27th from 10:00 to 16:00, Sunday is a day-off. Please make sure to bring your passport with you. Starting from July 2nd, diplomas will be issued in B-502a on work days. The document can also be sent by mail upon personal request. Science and Russian culture week: international summer school held at NUST MISIS ⭐ Undergraduate and graduate students from IMUST studying metallurgy, materials science, mechanical engineering, mining, automation, and applied statistics took part in an intensive educational and cultural program focused on modern technologies, Russian science, and intercultural communication. Scientists Triple the Thermal Stability of Perovskite Solar Cells Russian scientists have improved the heat resistance of perovskite solar cells by incorporating special organic molecules (TPA-Py) into the material to stabilize its structure. As a result, the devices’ effective operating time at high temperatures of 80°C increased from 260 to more than 700 hours.
