Reddit is weird as fuck I literally don’t get it. The bot works perfectly on my local machine, but for some reason, Reddit is blocking requests from the VPS. I’ll temporarily switch back to running it locally until I figure out what the fuck is going on.

While conducting some tests, I noticed a bug. Links in this format https://reddit.com/r/subreddit/s/postid seem not to work. I'll push an update in a few minutes that should fix this issue.

Here’s a quick update: 🔀 Crosspost support: The bot now supports crossposted posts, it will automatically fetch the original post link and download all the media. 🪲️️️️️️ Bug fix: Fixed some minor bugs including the one where the bot would, sometimes, send the media downloaded twice. Hello everyone! I've got another update for you, and this one's a bit more substantial: 🔞 RedGIFs Integration: The bot now supports RedGIFs as a Third-Party host! When available the HD version will be downloaded. ⚙️ Settings: They are finally available, although a bit bare for now. You can now decide to hide NSFW content using Telegram's spoiler function. As some of you may know, a while ago Imgur started removing all NSFW content. I'll need to implement a function so that if the file is no longer hosted on Imgur, the bot will fallback to the file hosted on Reddit. However, this will be in lower quality, and in the case of videos, without audio. Please remember that the bot is still hosted locally on my PC during development, so it might go offline occasionally. Your feedback and reports are invaluable. Hello everyone! Here’s a little update for you: 🖼 Imgur Integration: The bot now supports Imgur as a Third-Party host! This means you can download Images, Videos, GIFs, and Albums (basically the equivalent to Reddit galleries). Also, if the media on the Reddit post is a GIF but the original media on Imgur is a video (so with audio) the bot will send the version with the audio. ⚡ Faster Downloads: Images, GIFs, and some Videos, up to 20MB, will now be handled directly by Telegram. This change will significantly increase the downloading speed. Please remember that the bot is still hosted locally on my PC during development, so it might go offline occasionally. Hello everyone! Just a quick update on the development progress! Here are some exciting news and updates: 📁 Expanded Media Support: As mentioned before, the bot now supports all media types (except text, which I'll be adding later), yes, even galleries! 📝 Download/Upload Status: You will now be able to see the Download and Upload status, just like before. 3️⃣ Third-Party Host Integration: I'll soon begin integrating support for major third-party hosts (excluding YouTube, I don't plan to include it). 🙅‍♂️ No Limits: Currently, there are no limits on video length, and there are no queues. It will likely stay like this unless necessary. Please remember that during development, the bot is hosted locally on my PC, so it might go offline occasionally. 👋 Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing well! I'm currently rebuilding Reddit Downloader from scratch! Back in January, I encountered significant issues with Reddit, and due to time constraints, I ended up shelving the project. Here's the lowdown on what's going on: 👁 Logging Enabled: During this development phase, logging is turned ON. This helps me keep an eye on things and squash bugs more effectively. This means I WILL be able to see what you download, keep that in mind. 🐌 Local Hosting: Right now, the bot is running on a local machine. This means it might not be as fast as when it's hosted on a dedicated server. Please bear with me if downloads seem slower (The bot is pretty basic right now, so it doesn't give out a lot of messages. You might think it's not doing anything, but it is), I’ll move it to it’s own server once I'm done. 🪲Bugs: As with any major overhaul, bugs are to be expected. Your patience and understanding as I work through these issues are greatly appreciated. If you encounter any bugs or quirks, please do let me know here so I can fix them promptly. Exciting New Features Coming Up: The bot used to be focused mainly on downloading videos. Now, it's expanding to support all media types: images, gifs, videos, and even galleries! Long story short, Reddit was blocking the IP of the machine, but only because it didn’t like the way I was making requests, I’ll have to rewrite the code and it maye take some time.

I requested a new IP, this wil take about 48h

Apparently Reddit banned the IP of the VPS, I’ll rebuild a new one and hopefully get a new IP, this will take some time as I’ll need to backup everything

I’ll be runing some tests and try to understand wha’s causing the “😵 Huuuhh ... I have no idea …” error so the bot WILL malfunction during this period.
