♻️ The day aims to raise awareness about environmental issues and inspire people and governments to take action to protect the planet.
⏺ The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) established the WED in 1972.
☘️ The first World Environment Day was celebrated on 05 June 1973.
✳️ This year (2024), the theme is "Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience." It's about bringing back healthy land, preventing deserts from growing, and dealing with water shortages.
⭕ The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the global host of this year's edition.

✅ When salt is added to water, then the intermolecular forces between water molecules gets altered due to dissociation of NaCl into sodium and chloride ions. The hydrogen bondingt a weak bond) between water molecules gets affected and the ion-dipole interaction between ions (sodium and chloride ions) and dipole (water) starts occuring. lon-dipole interaction is comparatively strong bond. Hence more heat is required by water molecules to come out as gaseous phase and vaporise🌬.
