University Subject Pre-Requisite for A Levels This is the final Consideration while selecting your JC Subject Combination. Some of you may not know, but your JC Subject Combination will determine the Degree Courses you can select in University. Do You Know? 1. For NUS Dentistry/Medicine, Biology is not a requirement (Encouraged). PCME Combination is eligible as well. 2. Computer Science in NTU requires either Phy/Chem/Bio/Computing. If you are consider this course, Pure Art Stream is a No Go. 3. NUS Business Analytics/Data Science requires H2 Mathematics. Please don't drop to H1 if you are considering these 2 courses! 3 Factors to Decide your JC Subject Combination Hey all! I'm very passionate about this topic because this can help you in both JC & University. This framework has helped me throughout my student life! 1. Interest -Check out SEAB Syllabus Outline For Example: H2 Physics vs H2 Biology -Watch Youtube Videos e.g. Gene Expression -Look through Textbooks, Assessment Books to check genuine interest and curiosity in the subject 2. Exam Format -Understand how you are being graded For Example: H2 Computing -Check if it aligns to your strengths -Look through the TYS to gain insight on the structure and style of questions 3. Strength of Subject Department -Ask seniors/teachers during open houses -Check Reddit Forums -Support/Resources/Statistics on Distinction There's one more consideration which I will talk about tomorrow. JC Subject Combinations 📘 Subject Combination is one of the BIG Decision you need to make because that will determine what you'll be studying, your grades and University Course options.
