Eye Strain: - Prolonged near work: Activities like reading, using computers, or smartphones require constant accommodation, tiring the eye muscles. - Poor lighting: Insufficient or excessive light can strain the eyes, leading to accommodation problems. - Incorrect eyeglass or contact lens prescription: If your vision correction isn't optimal, your eyes work harder to focus, causing strain. 2. Refractive Errors: Uncorrected refractive errors: Conditions like nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism can put extra strain on the eye muscles during accommodation. Changes in refractive error: As you age, your vision may change, requiring adjustments to your glasses or contact lenses. Failure to do so can lead to headaches. 3. Underlying Conditions: - Migraines: Some people with migraines experience visual disturbances before or during a headache, including blurred vision and sensitivity to light. - Sinus issues: Sinus congestion can increase pressure around the eyes, contributing to headaches.
